Grealish All That?

So never buy a player from an inferior team? Someone should have mentioned that to Ferguson.

I wouldn't say he's world class but he's a top player who, for me, is destined to play at the top. He's clearly out of his depth at Villa and we've seen even in England's last couple of games he's the standout player. He gets fouled so often it's unbelievable how good he is at doing that, arguably our most technically gifted player alongside Mount and Foden for me.

He's performing well above the level he is playing at, comparing him to the likes of Pennant is just ridiculous imo.

Yes. End thread.

100% improves united midfield. Walks in the team.

He's a great player, bit too eager to go to ground imo but he's a talent.

See I would argue that the players who we got under SAF from 'inferior' teams all stood out more than Grealish.

If you don’t think Grealish is a top class player you don’t know anything about football, simple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grealish isn't a top player. He looks good in an average team, but because he's English people are getting daft about him.

I kind of agree with OP. Still yet to see him put in a 90mins where he has dominated a game. He does have the odd flashes of skill but how many times is that in the final 3rd? Even when Villa beat us 7-2 it was more Barkley and McGinn who hurt us.

posted on 8/6/21

He has a massive influence on Villa's team, he doesn't necessarily have to dominate the game, but the influence he has on that team is massive, they would probably be in the Championship if they didn't have him.

So players like Bruce, Sharpe, Ole, Irwin, Parker, Smalling, Ince, Kanchelskis all looked better than Grealish has when we signed them?

Jack grealish created the most chances in the Pl, bar mason mount and fernandes. Grealish plays for a worse team and was out for 3 months.

I don't see how he's a top player at all. He's a top player when it comes to diving.

How is he? What's he proven apart from looking good in a poor side?? I don't get the hype.

Would be a great signing for utd but it wont happen

He's a much better player than Sancho for me. Feel like he could end up at City this summer.

See that's exactly it. Good to see someone who agrees with me. He looks good in a poor team.

Yeah. If Grealish played in that era he would've disappeared because hard tackles were actually allowed and he would no doubt have spent so much time on the floor he would've morphed into a lawn of grass.

Well you see i'd say they would be in The Championship if hawk eye worked. Proving my point that he's overrated.

But Grealish didn't play in that era so what relevance is that? He's a top player, back by stats.

I don't like the stigma of "he dives because he wins a lot of fouls". No, he's on the deck because players foul him more often than not.

It's not just about looking good in an average side, he's a top player in an average side, he is on the level of many top players at top clubs. Just because he doesn't play for one of the glamour clubs doesn't mean he isn't a top player.

See this type of comment really does baffle me. Sancho has done it in the UCL, Grealish has done it in relegation battles yet apparently Grealish is better???

He'd be your best player.
