I really don't see Kane staying, he will have been waiting to see who came in and Nuno won't be the level he was expecting or of course the style of football he was looking for.

Safe pair of hands for Spurs but don't really see them cracking the top four which is their intention.

Hard to see this as anything other than a disaster waiting to happen.

We need a new poll.

Where will you be sitting next season?

I'll give him 18 months at Spurs.
The fans there will hate him.

I wish him good luck except against Wolves.

Good to see Nuno landing a top job. Now we have to hope that his replacement can help Wolves compete with Spurs or better. Nuno will get a great reception on his return to Molineux then all the focus will be on what Wolves will be like under Bruno

Wish him all the best, no animosity here, the job had run it's course and would be quite happy to see him do well at Spurs, it isn't really going to impact our situation I doubt.

Regarding Lage, I personally don't see any need to directly compare what he achieves this coming season to what Nuno achieved with us. All I want to see is some form of progress and a better style of football. Will be more than happy with a tenth place finish provided the signs are there that we are moving forward again.

Spurs is a really tough job for anyone. I think it is even tougher for Nuno, given a large number Spurs fans are already unhappy and don't want negative football. He needs to hit the ground running.

I hope we make it difficult for him to do that though and smash them first home game of the season.

It will be interesting to see if Nuno comes after any of our players.

Well, they’ve already got Doherty. I can see Nuno taking Adama and Coady for around £120million as well, which will give us the platform to rebuild.

Don't think there is any chance Nuno comes after Adama, he never wanted to start him here when everybody was fit so won't want to deal with that conundrum again.

Coady? Possible. Neves? Can't say I know enough about what Spurs lack to be honest. If Jimenez hadn't been injured you could have put up a good case for him replacing Kane should he leave but not now I don't think

Yeah Spurs is a tough gig, still one of the top jobs though, easy to forget that they were CL finalists just two seasons ago. Don't wish him any ill will but couldn't give a sh!t how successful he is there. Intrigued as to how he will cope with more than one experienced centre forward at his disposal though

This quote from Levy made me chuckle:-

"I've spoken already about the need to revert back to our core DNA of playing attacking, entertaining football, and [managing director of football] Fabio [Paratici] and I believe Nuno is the man who can take our talented group of players, embrace our young players coming through and build something special."

Would be really disappointed if we sold him this summer, whole point of loaning players out is to see what they have and he has shown he has something so to cash in for peanuts would seem pretty pointless.

Unfortunately, this is what Fosun stated when they took over. Bringing on the youngsters and either introducing them to the first team, or selling them for a profit. I can only think of MGW, who's made it into the first team.

We had a good period from the mid 90s to early 00s when we brought through and sold on some decent players from the academy. Some such as Keane, Naylor, Lescott, Andrews, Robinson, Murray, Proudlock, we actually got some game time out of before flogging them on. After that generation though there was a period where the academy only seemed to produce players that would drift in to non league very few making the first team or even going on to a pro career elsewhere. Then there was a bit of a renaissance after KJ blooded the kids in that League 1 season with a few of those going to have decent lower league careers, Ebanks-Landell, Price, Evans, Ismail. Mendez Laing and Ikeme had come through a season or two before.

The current crop show some promise and some have burst through, Otasowie, Corbeanu, Kilman (though admittedly he wasnt long in the academy set up), and a bunch who made the bench, like Hesketh, Bueno, Cundle etc.

Don't have a problem selling youngsters for profit if that profit is worthwhile. 1.5 million for Sanderson hardly seems worthwhile, you would think he adds more if we keep him

Wolves are reportedly in talks to give Dion Sanderson a new contract.

Sanderson has recently rejected a contract offer from the club but #WWFC are confident he will sign a new deal and then loan him out to a Championship side to continue development. [source:

Hadn't realized he had rejected a contract offer from us.
You can understand his concerns though given we haven't done well bringing through our own youngsters in recent years and if he had a chat with Kilman then that wouldn't change his mind either.

I think it’s hard enough for players to make the jump from academy to championship teams as we have seen over the years. But the jump to the Premier League is much more challenging. Hope a few of the kids get the chance to impress the new manager in the pre season games in the summer. Do feel particularly frustrated about Kilman who to me has done little wrong when he’s had his chances.

I do think we have a string of young players who did plenty of work with the first team on the training ground last season and have been blooded from the bench. So they should be ready to start making more of a mark from the bench at least next season with that experience behind them.

Be good to see Hoever, Marques, Sanderson, Lonwijk, Gibbs White, Corbeanu get some chances next season with Hesketh the one from the younger academy who looks like he could be a special talent

posted on 1/7/21

the one concern I have of Kilman is lack of pace, if Bruno continues his high line possession football we severely lack pace in the back-line

posted on 1/7/21

If we keep Ait-Nouri and play him at left back then the only one in a back 4 lacking pace would be Boly. Semedo can shift he @ss when he needs to and by all accounts the new lad Mosquera is seriously rapid.
