Was a good thirty for Jimenez, hasn't lost any of his touch, had a few misplaced passes but best of all he didn't bottle heading a booming Ruddy goal kick so must be comfortable with it all

Unlucky Cutrone, keeper to beat after through ball from MGW. Probably our best attacking move

Liking the look of Trincao. Looks very comfortable on the ball. His passing is a bit wayward though.

It's about time you showed up

Typical pre season game all in all. We look pretty good getting to the edge of the box at times but the final ball or shot hasn't been there much yet.

Certainly more bodies getting forward but that has also left us open a little at the back but today and the next few efforts will be all about getting the system and style imprinted more than anything else, nobody outside of the youngsters will be killing themselves.

Trincao looks good running with the ball but his passing looks rusty. Raul looked like Raul which is all we want. Fabio had a good half linking things together in the attacking half. Nobody more impressive than Perry though who has filled out over the summer, looked comfortable on the ball and sprayed some good passes.

Estrada at the back, Bueno for Marcal, Dadashov up front, Otasowie in midfield. Cundle I think as well.

Chem Campbell with a great run and Cutrone with another good effort at the end of it

Crewe score a sloppy one. Not really sure how that was so easy. Unmarked middle of box four yards out. Marquez perhaps at fault but Iwelumo wonders if it were offside

Otasowie is quite amusing, switches from great to garbage in seconds

Dadashov with a shot to end the game. Looks a smart player actually but also looks shattered, not sure where he is in terms of coming back from injury as he missed most of last season.

Not much to learn from the second half with all the changes. Campbell probably the brightest of the players coming on. Don’t think anyone advertised themselves in that half as ones ready for a first team chance. Crewe’s winning goal unquestionably offside but the result not important

Quite enjoyed that overall. Hard to learn much from it of course but good to see them back. Some promising youngsters as well, some of them looked pretty good. Otasowie looks class at times but then looks like he has never played before at others.
