Troare wouldn't be a regular starter in most prem sides so don't know how he would be considered among the best.

I don’t think I would say only 2 or 3 teams would fall into a general comment of one of the best. I wouldn’t be keen for us to swap Traore, Jimenez and Neto for the front three of Leeds, Leicester, Arsenal or West Ham and possibly not Man Utd, Villa, Everton either

Real Betis forward Joaquin still regularly features in their team despite the fact he is now 40 and despite the fact he has not been a model professional during his career. This was typified by him missing the game against Wolves at the weekend with the reason given that he was recovering from a hangover

In a group of 20, how many of the group are the best?

Top 5? Top 10? Or the top 2 or 3?

The thing is, Jimenez is great, no doubt at all among the top five strikers in the prem if his injury hasn't ruined him. Neto is one of the best young talents in the league as well but Traore? I just don't understand what people have seen in him to suggest he even has a half decent footballing brain? His end product is pretty awful for someone so gifted and his scoring record is crap.

The best is 1

As for one of the best we would have to ask someone pedantic. Do you know?

Yes. It’s in the top four.

Wolves front line aren’t in the top four in the division.

I'm sure Rafa Mir would prefer playing in the Olympics, rather than pre season with us or any other side. He'll need a break no matter how far Spain get and the final is on 7th August.

It'll be interesting to se where he goes this season, probably Spain.

He won't need a break because he had one prior to the Olympics while nobody else did.

Jimenez, Jota and Neto, supported by Traore and Podence was a pretty decent forward line.

Going to be a while before we get Neto back, Jimenez will need a little time to get premier league sharpness back. Trincao will be a big player for us I'm sure but I think we need another that has the potential to get double figures for us next season.

Either that or a couple that can notch 6 or 7 a piece.

It's hard to know really. Neto is a class act but the set up last season will never lead to goals. I fancy he can score ten in a season. The question is what Silva can bring this season.

We do still need someone to add more goals for us, which is why I think an attacking midfielder who scores a few is our key signing of the summer. Neto will get more goals as his career moves on, and so will Trincao in time. And don’t forget Fabio got 4 Premier League goals last season from not too many starts and despite being far from ready. I think we’ll see big progress from him this season.
Big thing is we can’t be sure what we will get from Raul. He has looked fine from his short appearances in the friendlies but we do need him to be as effective as he was before his injury

posted on 28/7/21

Just imagine if we could actually be sure what we will get from Raul?

Surely we would have one of the best front lines in the world then!

I'm still not convinced that Jimenez will get back to his old self. I hope I'm wrong and it's why we should at least keep Cutrone until the next transfer window. With Neto and Podence out at the moment, we are a little short of pace up front. A creative midfielder, who can come up with a few goals, would also be ideal.

There are some that think that Moutinho is over the hill, but he could be the unsung hero this season. His performances in the Euro's were remarkable, given his age.

The one positive stat about Jimenez is that only 8 of his goals for us have been headers. 8 penalties and the rest with either his left or right foot.

I still believe that we could pick up 3 or 4 decent squad players from the football league for relative peanuts . They are there to be found but of course you have to look.

Ivan Toney might be worth a punt, would take some prising away from Brentford though. Can't think of many others. Villa have already snapped up Buendia.

Willian Jose came to Wolves on loan last season and we had an option to buy for €20m

He is now on the point of joining Trabzonspur in Turkey for €6m

Rumours circulating that Villarreal, one of the best teams in La Liga, are interested in signing Rafa Mir.

Porto played Roma in a friendly yesterday with the Italians leading until late in the game. Then Porto brought on Vitinha from the bench and he got the equaliser past Rui Patricio

I think the club have missed a trick by not signing Vitinha. He looked like a real prospect to me.

I think I will take the 1300
