Back 5 then
Sa
Marcal, Saiss, Coady, Mosquera, Semedo
Neves, Moutinho.
Traore, Jimenez, Trincao
Just about the strongest 11 he could put out in that formation and with Boly missing
Yeah pretty much full strength could maybe argue donk over moutinho
So we've seen this formation before let's see how it's implemented
If we win comfortably today it's nailed on that this will be the starting 11 against Leicester with the possible change of Boly for Saiss.
From what bits I've seen mosquera seems a talent but needs an old head makes sense to put coady in next to him and if boly gets back to his best that'll be solid
That set up kinda blows the theory that Bruno is set on a 442 formation. Personally I think Coady only fits in a 3 man back line. Look forward to seeing what Trincao can do in a strong line up like this one.
Presumably tomorrow at Coventry we will see a much younger team but with the likes of Fabio, Hoever, Ait Nouri, Kilman, Ruddy, Dendoncker, Perry we are starting to develop a much better back up squad
Spain beat Ivory Coast 5-2 after extra time to qualify for the Olympics semi final
Rafa Mir scored a hat trick
It looked like Spain were going through when they went 2-1 ahead in the 91st minute but sub Mir equalised in the 93rd minute. Spain went ahead with a penalty in extra time before Mir added two more
Wrong - Ivory Coast went ahead in the 91st minute
After Wolves completely dominated the first 25 minutes, Danny Baath puts Stoke ahead
And one minute later Raul equalises
Nice finish from Raul, great to see.
Had about 5 chances to clear for the Batth goal though.
Hardly any stokies have bothered to turn up. No bad thing. Great to be covered in pie crumbs again.
Only downside has been the poor defending from a couple of corners, one of which lead to the goal.
Good to see Raul back on the scoresheet. Semedo playing a very attacking role on the right. Mosquera looks like he’s been playing in the uk all his life, totally comfortable. And 4 or 5 great runs from Traore
Well I'm sorry but anyone who can't see the value of Adama Traore has a serious agenda gong on. Playing on the left he is a serious threat. When he switches to the right he's lethal. The club will be making a serious mistake to let him go.
Looking good with the ball, very rusty at the back. Sa needs to find his voice, I'm right behind the goal here and he's just not communicating at all.
Have we improved at all on defending set piece Goldie?
Second half quite bitty with lots of substitutions. Some good moments from Gibbs White who is clearly going to get more first team chances this season.
Good to see Wolves players queuing up to shake hands with Danny Baath after the game who was always well respected in the dressing room at Molineux
Semi finals of the Olympic football are on Tuesday morning uk time
Mexico v Brazil
Spain v Japan
Did we look a little more cohesive today? Great to see Mir score a hattrick. Should have been starting games anyway.
Mir's hat trick all the more incredible, as he only came on in the 90th minute.
Sounds a wee bit like "same again'. Going with 3 at the back and looking poor defending set pieces.
We didn't really have many set pieces to defend but we looked shaky from crosses, think their goal came from a corner which we didn't deal with.
Certainly no concerns about Jimenez's form, I thought he was the best player on the pitch by a mile, sharper and more creative than anyone else. Linked well with mgw in the second half.

We need to sell if we want to improve the side Gem, and he would get a good fee right now. Given a choice of selling him or Neves then it's Traore every time. A month from now Bruno will be wondering whether to start him or bench him after frustrating performances I suspect. Perhaps Bruno will get the best out of him though, we shall see but for me I would rather us buy a couple of first team ready players than keep him.
Seen a lot of criticism for Silva today along with Hoever

If we need to sell to buy then I can think of at least 6 players I would rather sell than Traore. Neto and Jimenez might be dynamite but it's Traore that provides the spark to ignite them.
