Lots of clubs with strong first team squads have ended up getting relegated. It can’t be underestimated the impact that having a world class player like Grealish can have on your league position though. Villa would have gone down without his influence in their first season back.

Not many teams with a player of Grealish’s quality get relegated, be interesting to see the impact of his loss.

There are currently 18 foreign players in the Wolves squad and the Premier League limit is 17. Rafa Mir isn’t even listed in that 18 making his departure a certainty. Speculation is that Cutrone will leave and he has mainly been linked with Sampdoria and Villareal. Also Otasowie who is evidently wanted by Anderlecht and Wolfsburg. And Saiss who has been linked with Rennes in France.

If they all go that would bring the number down to 15 leaving room for two more foreigners to join this month.

I read on 'ere that we've got too many foreign players as it is, so I for two welcome the reduction in numbers.

I would like to see a couple of English players from the lower leagues bought in to bolster the squad. We may unearth a couple of gems.

I may be wrong, but I believe we only have 15 players over the age of 21 that will be included in the 25 man squad. It may be that we don't submit a 25 man squad, similar to last season when it was 18. The over 21 players we have are:-
