Cheers Sandy, appreciate the offer and I'll definitely consider it should I ever decide to stop following United and purchase a Spurs season ticket.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You probably live nearer to WHL than Old Trafford anyway. So it would make sense.

Can't beat the classics eh.
I often go to liverpool games on my own. Me and my dad are fans but gettin tickets has always been an issue, even in the hodgson days tickets were still a struggle.
I have 1 or 2 contacts down in liverpool I use amd quite often we will only get 1 ticket so we take a shot each. To be honest its not something thats ever bothered me. Train down from glasgow day of the game, few beers in the twelfth man then onto game and straight for train afterwards.
Away days on own are always a better experience as the atmosphere in the away end is always so much better. Last away game I was at on own was our 2-1 away win at villa park 19/20 with 2 goals on last 3 mins. Place went crazy!

Away tickets are like rocking horse shiyte though (for face value). Managed to get 1 a coupe of years ago for Derby away in the FA cup, not exactly a huge game but for some reason they gave Utd a really generous allocation and had a whole lower tier behind the goal, was an incredible atmosphere in the middle of that for a night game and a decent win
Yeah its an absolute nightmare for away ticks. I got very lucky that 19/20 season as a guy came through for me for villa park and sheffield. We won both games by the odd goal both late on so the ends were bouncing. They were my 1st away games for a long long time though. Think id be going back to middlesborough away in the rafa days before them.

Have to say Dads taking young kids to games is a pain. The kids always want to got to the toilet every 10 mins, get to the bars before half time and leave early at the end so you are for ever having to stand up like a fricking yo-yo throughout the game with a very apologetic dad constantly saying 'sorry mate' to everybody they squeeze past on your row.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the leaving earlier bit I totally get...everything else though, I'm not sure about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what are you not sure about?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The kids needing to go to the loo every 10 mins mainly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
try going to a few games mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, cos my comment was based on me having no experience of that.

I am embarking on my first season as a lone attender as well. I’ve never had a season ticket but have connections in supporters clubs and travel companies so usually get to at least 7/8 games a season at least. Last year I decided to take the plunge and get a season ticket as it was getting harder to get tickets through my usual ways. Obviously last year was a bust, but hopefully this year I’ll get to use it. I am nervous not going with a crowd or a friend for the first time but also looking forward to a new experience and getting to know new people.

I go to games with a couple of mates, meet another group of mates for a brew/beer beforehand but sit in a completely different part of the ground to any of them.
I assume Culer has a box at OT, awaiting his input.

I went to Middlesboro 3 times back in those days. Just the worst trip in the Prem. Awful games too, even one with a Torres winner. I also remember travelling up to Stoke from Somerset over the Christmas period really late in the day as someone pulled out. I broke my neck to get there, got into the stadium just in time and we were facking awful in the freezing cold.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There cannot be a more depressing walk to a stadium than the walk to the riverside. Such a dour surrounding. Absolute soulless

I love going to the cinema on my own. Very cathartic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, I don’t want some gobsheite sat next to me when I’m trying to concentrate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have done this in LA, if my daughter was working I would try and take in a film. Several times I have been the only one in the theatre, quite spooky really.👻
I've always gone to games with a few people, minimum two, but that's just me.
I'm only in my early 20's as it is anyway but I usually drive to games or have lifts. I'm not usually one who drinks heavily when I go with my family when I held a season ticket at Liverpool or when I've drove but if I've ever got the train with my mates then I'd happily go for a bit of a drinking session, but not to the point where it gets stupid.

Where abouts is your dads ticket Mike?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NW quadrant but pretty far back, it's a good viewpoint tbf to 'soak up' the atmosphere but not really amongst it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m in the east, just to the left of the goal, good laugh with the away fans near.
To be honest, ive never had a bad view at OT, apart from once I was about 3 rows up in the Stretty. Good one end, terrible when the ball is the other.
I prefer second tier tbh.
I know the boxes are sneered at, but I got invited a few times and had a great time. Funnily enough it was pretty near over where I used to sit.
I’d happily take a season ticket in a box with some nice food and drink pre game over the middle of the stretty end
Haven't read all the replies so sorry if I repeat anyhting that's said.
Iv been a season ticket holder for 8 years at Spurs. I have 3 mates who I go with every week who are also ST holders.
It wouldn't be the same going on my own. That said, iv been on my own a few times when they maybe by fluke all couldn't make it and I enjoyed it.
The key to remember is 2 things:
1) you will 100% become friends with people who sit near you. It's just part of it. Might take a season or 2 but when you recognise the same faces every other week and the memories you share, it will happen 100%
2) what type of person are you. Can you feel OK in your own company?
I'm like bake....yes of course going my 2/3 mates that are also spurs fans.
But I also often go on my own and more than happy in my own company.
