Us Scots have had that feeling for 55 years

You haven’t said why it makes you feel uneasy?

Right now you’ve explained you love, live and breathe football...but there’s too much coverage.

Have you ever met an alcoholic from Ireland on St Paddy’s day? Now did they ever say they feel uneasy?

I think you’ll struggle.

Yes in fact I have, constantly complaining they couldn't get to the bar.

It's like this every tournament. People jump on the bandwagon because it's an excuse to get pi**ed in large groups.

I just get the same feeling of uneasy embarrassment watching the over coverage as you get seeing a 70 year old at a wedding doing the David Brent dance from The Office.

Yeah sorry I had my “I didn’t get p1ssed last night, so I am full of beans this morning” attitude.

Usually plough this energy into work.

I do get what you mean, all of a sudden everyone is an England fan. I quite like seeing all the flags on houses and cars, car-horns beeping at groups of England fans as they drive by, usually getting the chants going.

I do take your point though

Half watching BBC 1, just been to Romford Market (born 'n' bred, happily as in death I've gone to a better place).

All England football related fluff. It genuinely makes me wanna scream.

What annoys me is IF we win it and I sincerely hope we do, is that this bungling Government will try and drain as much credit as they can from it.

Yes I'm getting bored sh1tless of female news readers who by there own admission normally have no interest in football excitedly counting down the days/hours until kick off.

Then we get the family where the husband is Italian and the wife English followed by Jordan Pickfords PE teacher and a chat with those creepy blokes who wrote and performed the song about Sven all those years ago.

All I can say to the Scots, Irish and Welsh is don't judge the English by our dreadful media. Most of us hope we win but as a general rule are far more interested in our clubs than the national team.

It's generally only flat roof pubs that fly a St George flag.

Chill you grumpy middle aged git. At teh end of the day football is the most popular sport in the world and if people start getting into supporting England and into football as a result of us having our first international final in 55 years thats got to be good for the game.

You might be a grump 25+ year season ticket holder now, but you werent always a footbll fan, you werent born one. Let people have their fun and if it means a few more people get into football on the way its a good thing.

Well, you know how most blokes get turned on watching lezzers, it’s the same for birds watching guys hugging and kissing.

If people are that shallow then I suspect they will be transient ‘supporters’ and go back to doing whatever their social media tells them after a few minutes.
