I don't suppose it's any worse than any of the daily rags

If he's not making any money out of his book then fair enough. If he's used his activism to make money out of book sales then his commercial team that's advised him have made a mistake.

ha ha, he's got £16m in the bank and United pay him £10m a year, I don't think he needs a scam to sell books for some extra cash.

That's nearly £1m per league goal.....now that's the scam here, not some book thing!

How do you do that? Ask people if his activism made them buy the book?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The whole book is released on the back of it.

Footballers have got advisers to make the most money out of their image as possible. They're not just happy to take the clubs wage. They love making money.

As I said, if he's giving the proceeds of the book away to charity's then there's no harm done. There wouldn't be a conflict of interest.

Why not say he scored 21 goals last season, most of which he was carrying an injury?

Why would it be a conflict of interest? He’s not saying “give all your money to charity” to everyone.

Who doesn't love making money?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly.

That was aimed at a previous poster who doesn't live on this planet that believes Rashford wouldn't like to make anymore of it given half the chance.

I agree with that, that’s a separate point though

I thought I'd take a look at the Spectator's website to see if the article's been published... it's a bit of an echo chamber, isn't it?

- The EU’s carbon border tax hits roadblocks

Fair play Marcus and gotta like the fact he addresses it before they release it.

The thing with this, for me, is even if he was doing it for PR etc, I wouldn't care. It doesn't matter, it's still achieved great things for a lot of children. I don't doubt for a second that he had that consideration but if someone helps a ton of people and has fairly selfish motivations, that's still significantly better than doing nothing.

When I do something good, I don't necessarily do it for recognition, praise or financial incentives but when I receive a Director's award or something on those lines, I'm fairly happy with the recognition and financial award.

No idea how anyone can go after him. Do something useful or productive yourself instead.

They seem to have it in for Rashford

What did he do to get them so worked up?

OK. £500k a goal, half of them against a bunch of European goat herders.
