Buttler was very good today as captain, chose his bowlers perfectly.
Good signs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But but but he's an awful captain with an awful mentality. When were 100/5, we'd made a poor decision and we were a joke side with sloggers.
Considering this is probably our B team bowling line up considering there's no Woakes, Wood, Archer or Rashid, this was an excellent performance. I write Willey off a lot but he was excellent today and those lower order runs from him were extremely useful. The problem Willey has is that he's a weapon with the bat but our top 6 have been so good over the last few years that we don't often need the lower order to contribute. Therefore he hasn't had much of a chance to showcase what he can do with the bat in international cricket.
Topley is another who I don't really see as a top class bowler but England are keen on a left arm seamer so it's between those 2 for the spot. Not sure there is room for both in our best XI.

Don't you have your own dog$hite team to follow?
India win toss and bowl. Buttler says he would've batted anyway
England are unchanged Siraj replaces Bumrah who has a back spasm.
Faaacking chode Shami, bowling tripe
Faaaaacccckkkkk off Groot
Awful start, surprise surprise
It's been an awful series for Root. 11 runs with 2 ducks. Considering the form he's in over the longer form and the fact he doesn't really change his style between formats, it's a surprising loss of form. Hopefully he will be fine for the SA test series.
Another disappointment from Roy.
Fack me we are awful at times. Our big game players not stepping up when it matters.

It's only his 10th white ball game since the world cup final back in 2019 so not too surprising he's not in rhythm.
Should just play like he does in test though given he can comfortably knock it around.

Well that's what I was thinking, it feels like the switch from one format to another should be asier for him. Either way, there's obvious frustration from people that we should be smashing 350+ as that is what we have been doing for the most part in the last 7 years. However considering what happened in the last game, let's get 250-270 and see what happens rather than panicking that we aren't going at 8 an over through the first 15 overs.
Livingstone was looking good and then does that
