I think the more sensible among us knew the run chase was always going to be tough and the likelihood is we'd be batting out to try and save the test. This is why the collapse from the middle order is frustrating because Pope, Bairstow and Moeen lasted 19 balls whereas Woakes has already lasted over 20.
