City, United, and Chelsea want Haaland. Younger, not injury prone, and won't cost as much as Kane. The wages probably be similar, and he could end up playing close to ten years.
Kane can look forward to more challenging for top 4 and being a nearly man. But at least he'd be a hero at Spurs.
City are playing a dangerous game here.

City are playing a dangerous game here. They tapped him up clearly which resulted in Kane name checking City in that Neville interview. He was clearly tapped him during our season. They are trying their hardest to make Kane throw a strop and cause a scene. We all know Kane isn’t going to do this. But, City are trying to get him as cheap as possible which won’t happen. Put up City you bunch of blue moon c** or shut up!!!! If you don’t want to pay 160 mil, then no problem. Go and buy Danny Ings, you can get him for 10x less.

I love how Spurs fans think a contract actually means a player (any player) is bound to the club.
History tells us it's not the case.
Coutinho signed a new 5 year contract at Liverpool in Jan 2017, less than 12 months later he was a Barcelona player.
Also Levy is playing a very dangerous game with his take it or leave it stance as it will come back to bite him with his efforts to bring in new players.
----------------------
City: We'll give you £100m + fringe player for Kane.
Levy: Nope, we want £150m cash, take it or leave it.

Club with player Spurs want: He's £60m
Levy: I'll give you £35m.
Other club: Nope, it's £60m take it or leave it.
Levy: How about £40m?
Other club: Nope, it's £60m take it or leave it.
Levy: Fuсk off then.
Levy to Spurs fans: I tried for 'target' but he didn't want to come so I got this guy for peanuts instead & ooh look, so & so is fit, he'll be like having a new player, that's 2 new players for the price of 1.

My final word on this "discussion" ...........
Perhaps Harry Kane should have a say?
He has done more than enough for this club.
If he really wants to leave, then Levy should do a deal.
Frankly, I think Kane has left it too late so he's hampered by an over-the-top valuation and the existence of younger players of the same class for the same price.......he should have left last season, or before.
Both Modric and Bale baled out of Spurs much earlier in their careers.
I'm of the mind to let this player do what he thinks is best for himself.

United aren't in for Kane. Nor will they go in for Haaland (tested the waters once and his father and agent will make things difficult). Kane will hinder the progress of Greenwood. Cavani being the age he is and staying another year pretty much confirms United will not be going for a CF this year.

We don’t fall for it, we know exactly what he does and most of us complain about it as we tend to cut off our nose to spite our face when it comes to bringing players in.
However, the one thing on the football side that Levy nearly always gets right is the fees we achieve when selling. The issue with Levy and selling players is that he tries to sell some utter dross for premium prices, yet Don reckons we will let Kane go on the cheap

I like that you still have hope. Maybe you will, but I doubt you'd be willing to go down the bookies and put a decent wad of cash on it.
Spurs, instead of investing and consolidating their position in the top four allowed the squad to stagnate. Which allowed teams like United and Chelsea to rebuild. With a PE teacher in charge, United have improved on league standings. Each season a step forward was taken. A total revamp of scouting, training, targeting of signings etc. Maybe if Poch had similar level of say at Spurs, you'd have still have him in charge and be a top four main stay now.

If we keep Kane until next season Utd might be in for him given Cavani will be a year older. Hopefully there will be a bidding war between them and City.

Dream on. Yes, Cavani will be a year older, but so will Kane.
And there will be new faces in the mix.
Kane's time is NOW,...and he knows it.

Did anyone take the Sun Seriously?
City, United, and Chelsea want Haaland. Younger, not injury prone, and won't cost as much as Kane. The wages probably be similar, and he could end up playing close to ten years.
Kane can look forward to more challenging for top 4 and being a nearly man. But at least he'd be a hero at Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, but there is only 1 of Haaland so what do the other 2 clubs do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have Greenwood.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which basically means, that like us you are settling for not competing for the top trophies.

Oh and United have turned into the ultimate nearly club - I reckon we might win a trophy before United do again, especially if you keep the PE teacher
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like that you still have hope.

No ones paying 160m for Kane at 28, the same next year 100m for a 29 year old. You will have the Kane for another 3 years.

Since when was he a Striker Ted

Do they need one now?

I don’t know, but your point was they don’t need Kane as they have Sancho - how does that work?
Do we not need a replacement for Kane if he goes because we are getting Gollini?

And like other fans always ask us - what has he won? You were in as many cup finals as us last season and we’ve been in a CL final more recently than you have.

Point is united have completed their dealings with the Sancho deal. They are happy if they keep Pogba.
Finito...no looking at Kane.
Got it now?

My guess is that United will woefully underperform again this year, Ole will get the old tic tac and the new manager will want a marquee name. We will rinse Hnited of £120m next summer
