We've seen progression under Ole, most of it being behind the scenes. We've now got a good core of young players, and the youth team is littered with possible stars. The culture of the club has changed, we seen how toxic it was at the club under Jose.

Each year we have seen progression, the rebuild was going to be slow. Let's see what he can do this year, he really needs to win a cup or challenge at very minimum in the league.

Ole is taking us in the right direction, he has steadied the ship. Whether he can take us above and beyond and win trophies remains to be seen, but he deserves a new deal for the turnaround.

Anyway I’m happy for you guys and for the rest of the league, congrats all round

….

I think you are speaking for yourself and may a few other people with a similar intellect really.

I very much doubt fans of the other league teams want to see a United headed in the right direction with a team full of young talent and harmony in the back ground.

Nuno had better attackers and midfielders at his disposal than probably 14 other sides in the PL at times during his spell as Wolves manager but consistently set them up to play the most life draining excuse for football in the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep his style of play was basically squeeze the life out of every game for 70 minutes, then hopefully nick a goal against a very bored opposition whose minds were wanfetomgy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He is on a 2 year contract, so if we don’t like what we see then I imagine he will be gone next summer.

However, judging by our friendlies alone, I think we will play a different style to that seen at Wolves.

You guys get Ole, so be happy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you'll be very disappointed. Though not surprised. You're kind of asking for it when you appoint a Portuguese manager. It's just a conveyor belt of boredom

It’s a defence mechanism for some.

It’ll be interesting to see how the next chief executive goes about their business. If some players and coaches have reservations about coming due to the failures at the club over the years they only need to point out ‘yeah, but that was under that useless cuuuunt Ed Woodward’. It could be quite a convincing argument.

I agree, a lot of good work done in the background, and I think we're getting closer to the team/squad that Ole wants.
Fingers crossed that we start to see the fruits this season. Let's go!

Colchester only just managed to stay in the football league for gods sake. Orient were about nine places higher.

Not sure.about steadying the ship

Henderson won't be happy as No 2.

Bailly was said to be unhappy with his playing time just before extending.

Pogba is rumoured to want out.

Pellestri wants to stay,.despite being put up.for.loan.

How will Martial take being benched ?

Great news for the rest of the league. Which other elite club in world football would gladly have Ole as their manager

Funny how fans of one of the 18 teams who finished behind him are happy about this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well to be fair we were happy when Liverpool kept Brendan Rodgers after finishing above us.

He's not going to last anyway—unless we're happy winning nothing.

Actually I take this back. There's a good chance due to the strength of the squad that we continue to finish in the top 4, but still fail to win anything. This could be enough for the club to stick with him.

I remember how many times we were heading in the right direction during the 30 years without league.

And I vividly remember not wanting to see you going in the right direction.

I’d imagine there’s a fairly small release clause to sack him and knowing the stand up guy he is, I’m sure he would have agreed to it. He’s been backed like no other United manager since SAF so he has no more excuses. This season will tell us a lot about how good he is considering chelsea finally have a good manager, Arsenal were the second best side in the league for most of last season and don’t have European distractions and I doubt Liverpool will be as bad this time around.

It would be totally us if we finished 6th the season we just extended the managers contract when it wasn’t the necessary thing to do πŸ˜…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've never heard Ole make an excuse, unlike just about every other manager

It’s not that simple really.

Eventually fans, players and the board will have had enough if all that is delivered is top four.

It’s not like we’re just going to stop spending money, so the expectations will naturally increase for everyone given we’ve got some very good players and will probably add more over the next few years.

Ole signed da thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Finished above Yellow teeth once. He can do it again. πŸ˜‚
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Against the most injury hit team of all time.

Ole will continue to dodge trophies so the rest of the PL are delighted.

Great work agent Ed πŸ‘
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course you are not the most injury hit of all time. You just made that up.
Just one example United 1968,and even I wouldn't say of all time.
But hey, it makes your excuse stronger
