The club has zero ambition to win the league. They will happy with top 4 for another decade. There is no real desire To challenge
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rubbish. The owners have backed our managers enough to challenge.Weve just spent poorly and chosen the wrong managers.

I don't think this is a massive deal really. I'd really hope there's a performance related clause in there somewhere.

Also, it does send a message to the players of sorts. We can't force the issue on the likes of Pogba whilst keeping the manager hanging.

I've been quite tough on Ole at times but it does seem his work hasn't just been confined to the first team squad. I think he may well have taken too much on (he's no SAF) but hopefully the recent signs in terms of backroom staff and above him are positive and will allow him to concentrate more on the first team. As ever though this next year will be massive. I think he does need to deliver better performances and results now. Let's hope he does.

I dispute this claim.

Go on then, dispute it

Not sure.about steadying the ship

Henderson won't be happy as No 2.

Bailly was said to be unhappy with his playing time just before extending.

Pogba is rumoured to want out.

Pellestri wants to stay,.despite being put up.for.loan.

How will Martial take being benched ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think steadying the ship means you have to keep every player happy. A task even SAF couldn't do.
But we understand that this is your daily Ole out article

He's not going to last anyway—unless we're happy winning nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually I take this back. There's a good chance due to the strength of the squad that we continue to finish in the top 4, but still fail to win anything. This could be enough for the club to stick with him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not that simple really.

Eventually fans, players and the board will have had enough if all that is delivered is top four.

It’s not like we’re just going to stop spending money, so the expectations will naturally increase for everyone given we’ve got some very good players and will probably add more over the next few years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, eventually. But if it goes this way, it could take a few seasons to make a change.

Ole signed da thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Finished above Yellow teeth once. He can do it again. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Against the most injury hit team of all time.

Ole will continue to dodge trophies so the rest of the PL are delighted.

Great work agent Ed 👏
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course you are not the most injury hit of all time. You just made that up.
Just one example United 1968,and even I wouldn't say of all time.
But hey, it makes your excuse stronger
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even won the final without Denis in 68

posted on 24/7/21

Well I got the impression you’re thinking top four every season is enough to keep his job regardless.

posted on 24/7/21

He'll have to win something soon, there would also have to be someone perceived better available.

You can put a question mark against pretty much all managers really. Except Pep and Klopp maybe.

They had 8 players who made 30+ league appearances. 6 of the most injury hit of all time made 35+ appearances! Crisis

I think we’ll probably wait around to try and get Pochettino. But a lot depends on who replaces Woodward, as I said earlier. The next man may have different ideas and, or, be more ruthless when it comes to changing managers.

I think so. The club feels so much more together than when he took over. We have some brilliant players now too.

Varane hopefully can be the next missing piece.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this.

I don’t really care about trophies right now. He’s doing the rebuild that we’ve needed since SAF. Cohesion, teamwork, work ethic, improving the XI, young talent.

If we do get Varane then all that will be missing to have an absolute beast of a first XI will be a CDM. The only weak spot would be RB but I’ll take that as our weak spot.

David/Henderson

AWB Varane Maguire Shaw
CDM
Bruno Pogba
Sancho Cavani Rashford

With Greeners and Martial

It’s a bit FIFA 21 but I’d love that against teams that we have to break down. I think that’s a top top first XI

Shhh, Sat Nav, but you see, you can’t go round saying that about Trophies. You’ll get called names, and get dismissed as someone that has let your standards drop, accepting of mediocrity and so on and so on….

Some don’t want to listen to reason, and believe their constant trumpeting of UTD having to win Leagues and Trophies outranks your credibility as a ‘true’ fan.

You go down this road, it’s bumpy, but don’t worry, I’m parked up further down the way.
I’ll wait for you, we’ll go in convoy

Forgot about that, you might be right. Hopefully Beekers can improve his performances big time if Pogba does leave.

😂

It’s short sighted and downright ignorant to think we can just go straight back to the top. We always needed a 3-4 year rebuild and we really haven’t had that since SAF. We’ve chopped and changed the first XI and managers way too much.

Ole might not win us a major trophy but he is certainly doing what I wanted from him: bringing those qualities back and improving the team with a long-term view.

I'm OK with it, I've seen us win sh1itloadsof trophies, so I'm actually not over fussed. I'm just happy we can all go back this year

I reckon Ole's road to success won't be quick, if he ever does achieve success, but that's fine with me.

Not winning the league is one thing but there's no excuse for him to be on none of the lesser cups, even more so given he's had two stabs at Europa.

Anything can happen in cup competitions.
Semi finals several times and a lost a final.

Really not bothered about any of that yet; we needed a proper rebuild. I just wish this had happened in 2013-2017

We aren't winning the league or champions league whilst Ole is the manager, and it will take 2-3 years for a new coach to build there own team.

Oh well. He smiles, won't bad mouth the owners or club, and is a fan favourite. Who cares about good football or big trophies.
