This article had a bit of promise before I read the comparisons part.
TAA tops the lot out of all those young players that you have named and you missed him off completely.
Fred is also bang average, as is McTominay as well. James is poor and the only one of United's youngsters who has ever actually proven anything is Sancho. The next best is Rashford, who is good but not great. All the rest (aside from AWB) have a lot of hype and potential, but haven't done anything yet, which is natural for many given their age though.
I still think United are lacking in some key areas. Improving, but still behind City, Liverpool and Chelsea imo.
That first line in the article sealed it for me. Very bright for the rest of the PL.

Tbf to Culer I do think there’s some merit in the point about having trophy winners in the squad. Obviously Mourinho and LVG, despite being past it, were managers that could win trophies as well. But with regard to the squad it’s still something I think we’re probably lacking, especially when you haven’t got a proven trophy winning manager.

The one off exception is no argument.
Greenwood - Will be a superstar imo. Absolute top drawer player and for me best youngster we have
Elanga - Looked good on both the reserves and couple of games for first team. Absolutely rapid and comfortable on the ball. Could potentially fight rashford for that left wing spot, time will tell.
AWB - Great at one on ones but honestly needs to improve in a few areas. Positioning is very poor, switches off a lot and heading is abysmal. Crosses coming in from the right is an obvious weak point and hopefully new defensive coach will improve that
McTomimay - Don’t really class him as a youngster anymore at the age of 24. Has improved every season and is a good squad player. Need players like him in and around the squad
Amad - looks very talented and very composed on the ball. May need to strengthen himself for the premier league but looks like he has the ability. Again too early to say
Sancho - Will be a top player
James - Squad player at the moment. With the options we have on the wings I’d loan him out personally
Rashford - Again could be world class but needs to sort himself out. I fear he is being overplayed
We certainly do have some top youngsters. If he gets his head right I’d add Hannibal to the list. Shorebird also could be very good and a loan for him may also suit
We also have Hugill and McNeil coming through the U18s. Both done superb at that level at CF
The thing is though, Ole inherited a squad of players who’d won 3 trophies in 2 seasons. Certainly a good enough level of trophy winning experience where in his 2.5 seasons the likes of Leicester, Villarreal, Arsenal etc have won trophies. People talk about United dna - winning trophies is part of that dna. Not just because of SAF. In the 70s and 80s lesser managers like Big Ron and the Doc won FA cups.
We certainly have the players to do that.

It depends on a number of factors.
For example if we are done by hard luck and injuries then no.
If we lose semi finals/finals by tiny, marginal calls like VAR then no.
If we go down fighting and playing exciting footie then no.

Tbf to Culer I do think there’s some merit in the point about having trophy winners in the squad. Obviously Mourinho and LVG, despite being past it, were managers that could win trophies as well. But with regard to the squad it’s still something I think we’re probably lacking, especially when you haven’t got a proven trophy winning manager.

Greenwood - Will be a superstar imo. Absolute top drawer player and for me best youngster we have
Elanga - Looked good on both the reserves and couple of games for first team. Absolutely rapid and comfortable on the ball. Could potentially fight rashford for that left wing spot, time will tell.
AWB - Great at one on ones but honestly needs to improve in a few areas. Positioning is very poor, switches off a lot and heading is abysmal. Crosses coming in from the right is an obvious weak point and hopefully new defensive coach will improve that
McTomimay - Don’t really class him as a youngster anymore at the age of 24. Has improved every season and is a good squad player. Need players like him in and around the squad
Amad - looks very talented and very composed on the ball. May need to strengthen himself for the premier league but looks like he has the ability. Again too early to say
Sancho - Will be a top player
James - Squad player at the moment. With the options we have on the wings I’d loan him out personally
Rashford - Again could be world class but needs to sort himself out. I fear he is being overplayed
We certainly do have some top youngsters. If he gets his head right I’d add Hannibal to the list. Shorebird also could be very good and a loan for him may also suit
We also have Hugill and McNeil coming through the U18s. Both done superb at that level at CF

The thing is though, Ole inherited a squad of players who’d won 3 trophies in 2 seasons. Certainly a good enough level of trophy winning experience where in his 2.5 seasons the likes of Leicester, Villarreal, Arsenal etc have won trophies. People talk about United dna - winning trophies is part of that dna. Not just because of SAF. In the 70s and 80s lesser managers like Big Ron and the Doc won FA cups.
We certainly have the players to do that.
