Lonwijk going out on loan apparently

I posted at the start of the transfer window that we should do some early business not leave it to the last minute and then buy a couple of ones for the future.

We have gone the same route and as usual end up with no real additions and excuses of 'we were close to signing Tom Richard and Harry but we could not do the business in time'.
Hope I'm wrong but lame excuses show our real intent. Nada.

We have to be signing someone. Nobody would let MGW go without anyone coming in surely, given we were already light.

Can't help wondering if he would have got more minutes if his name was Morgana Gibz Blanco?

With the Renato Sanches deal looking long dead, Wolves are looking at Hamza Choudhury as an alternative. He is about 5th choice for Leicester in midfield

He is supposedly going to Newcastle.

Can someone tell me where the news about MGW's move to Sheffield United has come from. I can find nothing official about this.

Looks like the most positive transfer news of the day for Wolves will be that there will be no transfer news about Traore or Neves

Tim Spiers at the Athletic is reporting it Gem and his old mate at the E&S Nathan Judah. I think sky have picked it up as well.

I still think the MGW move must be dependent on someone coming in.

Sky sorts news is a bloody mess these days though, that Karveh dude was asked where Real Madrid are getting their money from to offer PSG 189m, his response "I can't believe I keep getting asked this question, RM are the biggest club in the world they've been champions of Europe 13 times, have the largest commercial reach of any club and they haven't signed anyone for 18 months because of their well documented financial issues". Delivered with no irony whatsoever.

Asking Karen Carney for a players perspective on the Ronaldo transfer like she or any of her contemporaries ever moved for more than the price of a new set of bibs (no disrespect intended) and Lee Hendrie with the stunning insight and revelation that Ronaldo's second stint at United will be different because he is (wait for it) "older now".

I cringe whenever I see anything sky these days, which is granted very rarely, even that soccer am needs to be put down.

Gibbs White has signed a new contract through to 2024 and moved on a season long loan to Sheffield United.

Just been looking at our foreign players at the club, bearing in mind that we can't have more than 17 in a senior squad of up to 25, which I believe has to be registered tomorrow.

I make it 18 which includes both Jordao and Burr who were given squad numbers of 6 and 59 respectfully.

Neto and Trincao are both 21 at the start of this season, so I'm not sure if they can be included in the unlimited "under 21's " in which have Sondergaard, Air-Nouri, Hoever and Silva.

Whatever happens now, it just stinks of desperation and you wonder how serious the club are if they are scratching around trying to get their 5th choice to join with 2 hours to go.

MGW was at Swansea last season and now farmed out to Sheffield United for another full season. Probably won't wear a gold and black shirt again. Never really rated the lad, but I hope he does well and gets the game time he needs.
