Quite remarkable stats in our first three games in the league this season. We have had 57 shots, only Liverpool and Man City have had more. In terms of shots against us the opposition have had 27. No team in the Premier League have had fewer shots against them.
With a record like that, positive results just have to be just around the corner.
I'm obviously missing something quite remarkable here. Our goals to shots ratio is 0 in 57 and somehow this indicates positive results are just round the corner?
I can't wait until our ratio hits 0 in 200 as it will surely make us title contenders.

Because it indicates a more attacking style of play... We've more than held our own against 3 sides likely to make up the top 7. And whilst we've lost 3 games the fact we've only conceded 3 goals implies that we can be expansive whilst still being defensively strong
Having watched a recording of the game, I'm amazed that Saiss didn't score. World class save from De Gea.
3 games in and we could easily have been undefeated, but for some bad misses and great saves. Very positive performances and just shows what these same players can do under a more attack minded coach.
The International break now and Watford up next. Hopefully Bruno can get his players working on their finishing and we can break the duck with regard to league goals.
Foe me, I'd start Fabio in the next game and give Jimenez time to regain his form. For me, he's been coming way too deep, which was fine under Nuno, but we are now playing at a higher tempo and are a much better attacking force. We need our main striker where he should be and that's in and around the box.

I really wouldn’t worry about missing things. It opens the door to your sarcasm and without that you would clearly have very little to offer to the world
Jimenez has been out of the team since last November. To suggest that leaving him out of the team for longer is a way of helping him regain his best form is quite ridiculous. He is a world class centre forward and all he needs is games to regain his sharpness
That's your opinion and I respect that. However, I feel he needs more time on the training ground to fully recover and to be a threat again. From what I've seen thus far, he's not the same player and still believe, unfortunately, he will not get back to his best. He needs to be in and around the box, not back in our own half helping out. With Traore in such good form and Trincao on the other wing, we need our CF where he can do the most damage. He also needs more competition and we now have that with our new signing,
Of course that's only my opinion and my comments are not 'quite ridiculous'. They are formed by what I've seen over the last 3 games I've watched.
It'd be a madness to bench raul in favour of fabio who we saw for 3/4s of last season he's not yet ready to lead the line
Jimenez is not yet ready to lead the line either and from what I've seen he's not. Maybe that's why we've got another striker in on loan.
Raul needs minutes to get his touch back... Minutes leading the line not minutes at Compton
With relative easier games coming up dropping him would be the wrong choice if he's gonna get into his groove you'd imagine it'd be ideal against sides that are expected to be the bottom 6
Jimenez will find his way. Given all our chances of late i don't remember many falling to him actually, or many good chances anyway.
And defensively we have been surprisingly solid and in reality have conceded one genuine goal so far. Plenty of reasons not to be too down about things, just gotta hope Bruno gets some help over the next day now.

wolfie we have got another striker in on loan because that is what we have needed for the past 3 seasons and is what everyone on this forumyourself included has been asking for.
I agree with you that Raul is dropping too deep and he is also to be found out wide quite often too. Like you I would prefer to see him central and higher up the pitch.
I do not however agree that he should be dropped because he is not ready to lead the line. Raul is by far and away the best striker we have and the most likely to score goals. All that is required is a simple instruction from Bruno not more time on the training ground.
In other news we're set to sign a midfielder from man City
De Bruyne could be decent competition for Neves

De Bruyne? Bernado Silva? Rodri? Gundogan?
Yes, Harvey Griffiths a 17 year old midfielder for £500k
Wolves still being linked with a move for Lille defender Sven Botman. It was felt he was more likely to go to Seville to replace Kounde who was set to sign for Chelsea. But Chelsea have now evidently dropped out of that move
Wolves U21s will start their participation in this seasons Papa John’s Trophy tomorrow with a trip to Wigan. The remaining fixtures in this initial group phase will see them play at Shrewsbury and Crewe

=====================================
That's one of my points cinci. He's not in the right place to take any chances coming into the box. Crikey, even Saiss (who DJ feels shouldn't be in the side) almost got on the scoresheet.
As much as it pains me to say it, I agree with wolfie. We need to take the pressure of Jimenez as he’s obviously buckling under the weight of expectation.
It looks to me like his confidence is shot. Missed a sitter v Celta Viga, and couldn’t make his mind up yesterday between crossing the ball or adding to our 57 shots, in the end he just tamely rolled the ball to DDG.
Quite ridiculous to play strikers out of form when Fabio is in the form of his life. We need 4 points from our next two games or we’re in deep Shiite. We aren’t going to get those points by failing to find the ole onion bag in 57 attempts.
Gem, I'm glad we've got another striker, albeit on loan, as it will increase the competition up front. However, for what ever reason, I don't think Jimenez is quite ready for 90 minutes of football. Whether it's mental or physical, something doesn't look right with him now.
I'm not anti Jimenez by any stretch of the imagination, but our lack of goals is disturbing, given all the chances we've had and for whatever reason, we're not hitting the ol' onion bag.
I'm not comparing the Forest game to the Premier League, but Jimenez was not involved at all and we got 4 goals. Fabio had a good game and looked a lot quicker than last season. He also provided a couple of assists. I see no reason why he can't be given a chance to impress at the top level, that's all.
I did say, way back when Jimenez got injured, that I doubted if he would regain his former confidence and ability and I hope I'm proved wrong. But players don't always fully recover from such a horrendous injury.
Looks like wolfie and I are on the same page? Two very similar posts and views. Could it be one and the same poster?

Another moronic dig by dear old wolfie who next will be telling people it’s me who has a grudge against him 😂
Of course Saiss should be in the team. Always said he is a quality squad player and with Boly and Mosquera injured he’s an obvious selection.
Come on here and give your opinion any time, but don’t come on and give my opinion, I’m quite capable of giving that myself thank you
I think we are getting a bit carried away by the lack of goals thing to be honest. We are producing plenty and the goals will come to a degree. Personally think we need to get more attack minded players onto the pitch outside of the front three though and RAN is the easy first change if we insist on staying with a back three.
Outside of that I would like to see Bruno make a change or two a little earlier than he has been so far.
I hope that Bruno brings in an attacking midfielder before the deadline. He has been saying that he wants 2 players for every position and looking at the squad an AMF is the glaring omission.
With Mosquera, Jonny and Neto all fit we currently have 2 keepers 2 right wingbacks, 3 left wingbacks, 4 centrebacks, 4 defensive midfielders, 1 attacking midfielder, 4 wingers and 3 strikers.
