For all Ole's supposed great man management, he poorly handled VDB's situation and also Lingard. Both are very capable squad options if used properly, but when you favour Matic - a player that often gets caught napping, and a half fit Sancho instead of players who are fit and ready to prove a point, it shows the reason has nothing to do with football. It is Ironic that for all the improvement he made, Ole himself could the one holding us back not to reach to the next level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has he? Donny has said himself he trusts him and acknowledged he's very good at talking to players who aren't playing. It's literally said in the interview in the OP.
And Ole kept Lingard out of the team when he was playing very poorly and off the back of some personal issues. He loaned him out to a club he felt would do him well, it did. He then supposedly blocked a move away because he feels he can add something to this squad. Lingard seems pretty happy with how he's been managed and rather than ditch this shoddy manager who has badly handled him..... He's wanting to stay and fight for a place?
What am I missing here that suggests he's 'poorly handled' either of them? Both seem pretty up for fighting for their place in the team this season which is a very good attitude for squad players to have. One which a poor man manager probably wouldn't get from them.
The Sancho point is so disingenuous. I'm not even going to bother with that one.

Ole will do what is best for the team. People forget that we finished second last year under his guidance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also won no trophies, exited the group stages of the champions league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And a big reason we exited the group stage of the CL?
Losing away to Istanbul.
Who started in that game?
Donny started in that game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who started against Villareal? Another game we should have won.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Players who have performed and dug the team out of holes repeatedly?
I don't think anybody with a clue would have put Donny in their starting line up that night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which holes were those then? The ones that that led to us winning feck all?
How you can correlate the Istanbul loss to Donny starting, defies logic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you really asking me to justify what Bruno has done to win games and help this team out? I'm not going to do that, if you think that, you think that.
If you think that 'defies logic', you're an utter drama queen. The point was fairly obvious, unless you're dim and are taking it in a literal way and that I'm 'blaming him' for that loss. I'll explain....
We're discussing a player in the context that some feel he isn't getting enough playing time. A poster listed exiting the group stages as a reason that Ole is making bad decisions in how many minutes he has given Donny.
I made a very basic quip that he started in a game that was a large reason we went out. Which indicates that us going out of the group stages was not exactly because we didn't give him enough minutes. It wasn't a detailed response, I didn't feel it was necessary but I was clearly wrong.
He played more CL minutes than Pogba and Greenwood and only played a bit less than Fred and McTominay. So I fail to see how his lack of minutes was a reason we went out at the group stages. If anything, I would suggest that if Pogba had the minutes he had, we may well have gone through in the group stages. He also played more minutes than Matic.
Hopefully that clears that one up for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure what you're rambling on about, but it's got feck all to do with what I said.

My point is, they're both games we should have won and have nothing to do with the team sheets
…..
The game in Istanbul had everything to do with the team sheet.
It was a massive mistake from the manager. I said it then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The individuals put out on that pitch for Utd were better than the individuals in the Istanbul starting 11.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And there is little to no evidence that putting Donny on in Bruno's place would have impacted the game in a positive way. He's failed to have a positive impact in a majority of the appearances he's made. He's not been awful but very average and never imposed himself as a player who you can put on and will change the game in a meaningful way. Bruno has repeatedly come up trumps for us.
If you feel he should have come on as a 6 then I'd be interested in an actual breakdown of why that would have led to the game being different because you clearly have a vision of something that I simply don't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats because you can't read or lack the ability to comprehend what I'm saying. Clearly too many words, not enough pictures for you.
That's the second time you've completely failed to comprehend my point. Not my fault lad....
We all know that those who are screaming like little girls for Ole to start The Beek will be the first on here to slate the manager the moment their beloved Donny doesn’t put in a stellar performance.
