Kaide Gordon looks completely at home in tonight's match. To my knowledge I only saw him play once for us. He did stand out but I would be lying if I pretended I could tell he would rise so high so quickly.

Probably helps if he's surrounded by other skillful individuals Vidal?

Local radio summariser swooning over him. Cant believe he's only 16.

Nice to see Norwich with a proper shirt sponsor instead of a bleeding betting shop.

Derby County will be hit with a 12-point deduction on Wednesday after formally appointing administrators to try and save the crisis-hit club.

With administration now to be confirmed, Derby will be docked a dozen points and will drop to the bottom of the Championship table.

Derby’s short-term future will rest in the hands of Andrew Hosking from business advisory firm Quantuma, who have offices in London and Manchester.

Hosking is listed as an expert in financial restructuring and insolvency on the Quantuma website and has been appointed by Derby’s major creditor MSD, the investment group based in New York linked to American billionaire Michael Dell.

He will now sift through Derby’s finances and attempt to find a buyer, though hundreds of jobs at Pride Park remain at risk.

As revealed by Telegraph Sport, Derby have significant debts and owe a staggering £26 million to HM Revenue and Customs.

Phillip Cocu, the former Derby manager, and his backroom staff are also owed around £5m in compensation.

Any prospective buyer will have to take on those liabilities and accept funding a club which is threatened by relegation to League One.

There is also a further nine-point sanction hanging over Derby for breaching financial rules, due to their long-standing legal row with the EFL.

Derby’s administrators, or a new owner, must decide whether to accept that punishment or risk going before an independent disciplinary commission which could decide on even heavier sanctions.

In addition, Derby will also be docked another three points if they fail to pay their players and staff this month, with pay-roll approaching next week.

Wayne Rooney, the former England and Manchester United striker, is set to hold talks with the administrators on Wednesday.

Derby face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

BK8 ?
'Norwich City have ditched their new sponsor after a revolt by fans over the gambling company's 'seksualised' marketing. ... The deal, believed to be worth £5m, provoked dissatisfaction among a number of fans unhappy at having a gambling sponsor, and one with an obscure financial structure.'
Not that long a story really

Will the EFL want their pound of flesh and hit us with every possible sanction available to them or will they adopt an approach based on justice and good sense, that is, one designed to try to help the club survive; is 12 points not enough for them? Or will they live up to the claims they make on their website - custodians of the game, recognisers of community importance, blah-blah-humbuggery -blah.

I'm certain Steve Gibson and possibly Wycombe owner will have something to say if we're not given full penalties.

A very black day in the history of the club. Morris should be ashamed of his mismanagement.

Derby County have been a big part of my life since the late 60’s and I remember writing a letter to and receiving a response from my then hero Willie Carlin. Since then I’ve followed the Rams home and away and have been lucky enough to witness the highs of winning the First Division Championship under Cloughie and Big Dave and of course when we were crap I still went away to places like Bury to watch the Rams. I’ve struggled since last Friday when I found out Mad Mel was placing the club into Administration and what the end game will be. I’m trying to find solace but I cannot see any significant assets the club has to get out of Administration and I fear that the club will end up in liquidation. I really hope that I’m wrong but we owe over 20 million to HMRC alone and that alone is likely to sink us. The only thing that I can see that we have going for us is that our fan base has the potential to be in the top half of the premiership, never mind any other league.

so Mel made his money backing a company that helped to ruin mobile gaming by establishing the nasty rigged pay to win tactics you now see everywhere.

he has now ruined Derby County, leaving the club penniless and stripped of most assets, yet according to some reports increased his own value in the process there too?

how is this even allowed to happen?

All the money he’s lost is down to his stupidity. He’s walking away without any accountability to ruining a football club. 1 of our own? Not a chance, never has been and never will be.
