I have three out of four of those already.
Apparently RD will be having a session starting I think at 11 am your time tomorrow covering the administrators' press conference followed by an interview with Trevor Birch. Should be interesting to say the least.
Fact is guys there's no point us wrist slashing and blaming Mel - even if it was his fault. We all have to get behind the club and support it as best we see fit. Rooney is doing that with the players - we have to do our bit as fans and get behind the team....

Jury's out on the 4th.
I have it on good authority that MM has now sole ownership if both PP and Moor Farm.
It's a bit rich if true, local fan my ar5e.
Being an optimistic chap, I still cling onto a hope that Morris might do the right thing with regard to the stadium and training ground. Could he let the club use both rent-free?
Vidal, I listened to his interview yesterday for the first time. I really don’t think he’s going to be looking to try to recover much money from those assets and will use them to help facilitate a sale if necessary.
I am concerned at the prospect of finding someone wiling to take on £50-60 million of debt as it seems mostly likely we will be in League 1. On top of that, the accounts for the period AFTER the ones currently being touted as having a 9 point penalty have not been filed or reviewed and are also likely to result in a points penalty probably next season. Apparently HMRC agreed to a delay because of the current discussions on the accounts.
Wigan had 10% of our debts, owned 2 training grounds and were able to sell (us) players.
It’s going to need someone with deep pockets and a long term vision I fear. All very depressing.
I know i'm a bit late but in reply to the articles title.......the fat lady as sung.
Never mind, RR. Thanks for the contribution, anyway

No chance. He's Toried the club.
The way I'm seeing it is, he's bitter about his experience and the fact his public enemy one, two and three with the fans. He's protected his losses via the stadium and moor farm (in the guise he's sold the club to himself to show the club in profit) and will cling onto this and Moor farm with dear life. If he gets rental, what would we realistically be looking at monthly, annually, £200-£300k per month ?
If he can sell it on (similar to the Coventry scenario) I wouldn't put it past him. Clinging onto to stadium, in my opinion is why we're not able to enter sensible takeover conversations with interested parties.
Hated the deal at the time and obviously more so now. Why the EFL don't learn from past experiences (Leeds, Coventry etc....) owners selling the stadium to themselves or third parties is incredible incompetence. The one law they have to bring into effect is prevention of stadium sale (whilst a football club exists and/or trades from the said location.)

Transfer of assets to different companies within or outside a group is common practice. After all if it belongs to you, you can sell it to whoever you like. There is nothing illegal about it unless it is an internal sale and you either overvalue or undervalue the assets for either tax reasons or to inflate the value of the company. We were cleared of the illegal bit.
Not paying your tax is illegal but the mega rich seem to get away with it. Perhaps Mel just wasn't rich enough.
We don't have to use Pride Park, plenty of football grounds within commuting distance of Derby. We don't even have to use Moor Farm. However Mel might be thinking of housing developments and a shopping/entertainments plaza on his assets.
Well first comments from the administrators was quite positive …
Some difficult decisions to be made
Not be an easy task but nor is it "insurmountable"
There has been interest
Debt of tens of millions of pounds
"Reasonably confident" of trading their way through
Stadium is not an asset under their control
Very positive conversations with Wayne Rooney
His position is safe
Potential buyers seem to want to re-unite the club with the stadium ownership
Hoping to sell the club before the January window
Not looking at selling players
Confident we will fulfill the fixture list
Support of the fans can make a massive difference.
They do genuinely feel there is a very real chance here
Some more live interviews on Radio Derby at 1 p.m. apparently, including Rooney.
Trevor Birch of the EFL will be the "guest"!
Couldn't they have also invited Mel, Steve Gibson and those clown directors at Wycombe and Rotherham so we could dispose of them all inhumanely.

Just a small point Spart - Moor Farm is on the green belt separating Derby City and Erewash. The only structures allowed on it was the training ground - nothing else, so no dwellings allowed.
However with the revision of the planning laws of Honest Bob, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Under administration any prospective buyer will not be required to discharge the full debt (circa £60M) so this will be key to a takeover.
The number of players out of contract at the end of the season is rather alarming:
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/derby-county/kader/verein/22/saison_id/2021/plus/1
Certainly not sellable assets considering they can sign pre-contract agreements in Jan.
I hope some new owners come in and build a new stadium
