Not a derby I can get excited about probably because I was enjoying local trips to Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Preston and Blackpool long before Wigan came onto the scene.
Wilf now it's matchday and Benny has put the live match thread up. Later you'll see a link appear to make this live so it updates as people post during the match without having to refresh or reload the page. After the game this is where we post until Benny posts the next match thread which should be Tuesday for the away game at Plymouth.
There maybe exceptions to the rule where something very important like an announcement we are moving back closer to town comes along which would deserve a new thread all of its own but normally we tick along adding to the live match thread.
During the summer we have one big summer special thread which last until pre season is under way
Totally understand the protocol now ,I will try and give an unbiased match report later tonight . I feel it is a 6 pointer today and will have a bearing on the rest of the season ,therefore I am excited !

Spot the spilling mistakes again, I blame IE for making all those changes and with the added keeper on the bench my brain couldn't compute it all.
Looks like John is our new sick note. Was worried the injuries would be to Santos and Williams.
With a bit of luck it should throw Wigan off the scent and we'll end up with the 3 points.

4 changes, I didn't expect that so we will just have to wait and see how it pans out.
What an odd foul throw what does the panel and rule book say about that one.
1-0 to Wigan! An early goal conceded once again.
It took Wigan 6 minutes Bakayoko at fault.
I thought there was a shout for offside at one point in that.
Not sure Dixon should have gone out to meet the man either.
Apparently Charlie White had led the ball prior to the goal..
Should have read handled the ball.
Picked the wrong side again.
Soft soft easy goal to concede early again.
see how it goes when it calms down and we get into a groove.
Baka has had a bad start.
