Seven - I am not talking about conduct or runs ins with journalists. Every manager gets involved in that, like I say Lennon doesnt offend me or bother me because thats common.

However, very few managers show such double standards when it comes to handling a result. I never saw Walter Smith run over to the Rangers fans after a win at Parkhead, unless maybe it had actually won us a trophy or something maybe although even then I dont recall it happening. I certainly never saw him run on to Parkhead and start having "banter" with the Celtic fans, and iv not seen Sir Alex do that either after any derby win. If they did it would be the first thing id look for after a defeat to see if they do the same. Especially if they said they "always" done that in an away game.
With regards interviews, I always saw guys like Walter Smith or Sir Alex appear after a game win lose or draw on camera. Even when you gubbed us 3-0 last season Smith was on camera giving his thoughts.
Again if I saw a manager shaking hands with every opposing player after a derby game id commend them and have respect for him. You lose that respect however when you only do it when you win.

lennon quite simply had no class as a player he has no class as a manager, he has no class as a person, but credit where its due he is trying, i susspect he has been told by his bosses to behave, its just not there yet it will take a long time

walter smith had the respect of every manager, player, chairman he had come up against. Not one had anything bad to say about the man. Can that be said of lennon? I doubt it. u need to show respect to receive it, something he doesnt do very often

how can you say o'neil had class? his antics at ibrox when he took lennon over to the celtic end was a disgrace and he then slaughters the rangers fans at a press conference in barcelona, complete rat

Smid - Did you not see Alex Feguson telling the female post match interviewer on MOTD only two weeks ago that she was asking stupid questions? Have you never seen an assistant manager being sent out to do the post match interview? You have never seen a manager - apart from Lennon - making an issue of congratulating his own fans especially at an away venue? May I suggest that you have and that you in all probability never used it as a measure of classiness - except in Lennon's case of course.

May I also point out that when it comes to class and behaving in a socially acceptable way Rangers fans hardly have the greatest reputation. An aside argument and not one I really want to get into with you - but an important one when it comes to some feeling that they have the right to deem what is good behaviour and what is not.

iv seen plenty of interviews with managers who speak highly of wattie. Ur right, i claim no insider knowledge, but id be willing to bet big money not a lot of managers have something good to say about lennon

all of our managers have class. As for celtic managers, they all have class, apart from lennon.

as for ur agenda comment. I am not one of these people who hate lennon because of where he came from, his religion, or past. I dislike the man for the person he is, nothing else. Didnt he father a child and told the burd to get rid, then said he wanted nothing to do wae it when she kept it? classy eh?

Football fans of all clubs have embarrassed themselves at one point or another. However as manager you are expected to react differently.
As for Sir Alex, no I didnt see that but as I said earlier I have no issue with that. Strachan was always getting into arguments with the press and told one girl she would be better off doing housework or something along those lines, thats no problem to me because I expect a manager to be hurting after a defeat at least they have came out and faced the cameras. If you are going to go off into the gantry to take the plaudits and listen to them saying how much you got it tactically spot on etc and are willing to chat away in the studio great but at least do an interview when you get beat as well. You cant lap the attention up in victory and shy from it in defeat.
As for congratulating the fans, like I say great go ahead do it every week. But dont come on to the pitch after a good result, lap up the applause wind up the opponents, shake hands with every opposition player and then say you "always" do it only to disappear every time you get beat. People see through it.

Smid - has Lennon never done an interview after a defeat? I think he has. As for insulting interviewers - perhaps when Lennon does that then it will then move into the classless category? This notion that you keep battering on that because Lennon sometimes sends out an assistant to interview or because sometimes he applauds the fans and sometimes he doesn't determines class is ridiculous. Did Smith always do a post match interview or never? Did Ferguson never applaud his teams fans or never? Of course sometimes Smith didn't handle the post match interview and sent his assistant out to do it for whatever reason and one week Ferguson would applaud the fans and the next he wouldn't. Your argument is silly and you're reading into it what you want to be there rather than what is there.

You want Lennon to be classless? Fine perhaps he is - I don't know the guy so I cant make a realistic judgement. But judge not lest ye be judged - so when it comes to Rangers fans - a fanbase with one of the worst reputations in the UK if not Europe - then spouting on about classiness only opens you up to the legitimate question - who the hell are you to judge?
