Why did Neil not stay and shake the Hearts players hands like he did with Rangers?
Im not talking about assistants doing interviews, thats fairly common. Im talking about facing the cameras after a game where you have lost. Lennon often fails to do this, but is always available after a victory. Why? Im not talking about class in general conduct as his own conduct towards fans, opposition players, opposition managers, referees etc has been well documented im talking about handling a result with dignity and representing your club in an appropriate fashion win lose or draw. Dont claim to "always" run to the away fans, wait behind to shake hands with opponents and indulge in banter when all is going well but take the huff and disappear when it is not.

from what i have read, heard and seen of this guy and his actions, it is kinda hard to turn around and say 'well, he might actually be an alright guy behind closed doors' isnt it?
I know several people who work in a well know west end haunt of lennons, one which is full of ur mob daily, and they havent exactly spouted praise of the guys attitude

Smid - the reason most assistants do post match interviews is exactly because the team has lost I would assume. Why does Lennon not do it sometimes after a defeat? Perhaps like most managers he is too infuriated to speak to the camera's? Probably the same as nearly every other manager who doesn't want to do it. So what exactly is the big deal? Seem's like Rangers fans are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find reasons to hate Lennon. I have never hated anyone in my life. Hating someone from a football club is about as sensible as hating Tom Cruise or Jimmy Crankie. Totally pointless and childish to the point of being slightly rhetarded. Knock yourselves out boys.

are you diverting the subject intentionally or are you having difficulty understanding the subject?
it has nothing to do with hatred, it is all about what level of class and respect lennon has, he has shown up till now, none
take the green tints off, he is classless

Never once have I used the word hate, in fact Iv said I have no feelings towards him. It makes no difference to me what he does as Celtic manager, however I do think if you set yourself up with such conduct when you win then you set yourself up for questions to be asked when you get beat.
Assistants do interviews for all sorts of reasons. McCoist done ours during cup games, although the one exception was the so called shame game when Smith felt as manager it was his duty to face the cameras.
I just know in a couple of weeks when you play Killie and probably win he will be out after the game applauding the fans and going on camera to talk about how good Celtic were and giving praise to Kilmarnock for making it difficult. Its difficult to respect someone who only wants to be seen when its going well.
Dos - I have not heard the post match interview from Lennon or know if he did or didn't do one. Is Lennon perfect? No, he has made mistakes and no doubt behaved in ways which in a perfect world a person shouldn't. Has a Rangers manager never behaved in an imperfect way? Of course he has. I will take you on your word and believe that your criticism of Lennon isn't based on hatred, but it would be complete naivety to believe that there wasn't a sectarian core to this criticism from a significant amount of the bladder mouths on here. Rangers fans might want to forget about the majority of their and the clubs history but you made your bed and now you must lie in it and if that means that you are not believed because of that history, then who is to blame if not RangersFC and their fans? Nobody made you believe what you (the fan base) claim now not to or make your club behave in a way that it still refuses to apologize for but claims to have recanted.
sorry - I really dont want to get into all this history nonsense. However my point is if Celtic fans believe there is a sectarian element to this, who can blame them?
Tommy Burns.
Long time ago after the 5-1 game at Ibrox.
Tommy Burns did a full and frank interview with Scotsport. I think he was team captain that day.
Did Tommy hate to lose, hell yes.
Did he earn/show respect, hell yes.
Is Neil Lennon in the same category - not for me he's not.

Dos tapping into a fan base is not a problem if you behave in a legal and moral way. we have, you didn't.

First time I've ever heard singing sings about child murderers moral....

If I never see, hear a soldier, a song about a soldier, a song about volunteers, a flag of another country in a football stadium it will still be too soon for me....
Stuff them all....
agree 100%
I think you will find that those who feel the same way at both our clubs are in a significant majority and it is a few dafties who rub everyone else up the wrong way.
To be honest I think Lennon has been carrying himself a lot better this season.
He hasn't been churning out the usual excuses, or conspiracy theories to the same extent and he has held his hands up when the team haven't delivered in the few interviews I've seen him in the past couple of months...
I'm never really going to be a fan, but as a person he isn't as bas as he's often made out to be...
