Can't believe we're over 24 hours in to this thread and despite it now being fairly obvious he's a contender for the Villa role there's still a refusal to accept Gerrard might be a decent Manager who would be of interest at that level.

He can’t be a contender unless he’s actually being asked can he? Other than that he’s just a name thrown in the ring by the media.

Villa have been happy with guys like McLeish, Tim Sherwood and Lambert so its no surprise that Gerrard pops up on their radar .
It would be interesting to see who rangers bring in if he does fck off. But i suspect he'll be here until the rangers fans become disgruntled with him

That doesn’t include the day to day running costs at a huge deficit. They are still there and will be next year.
Undoubtedly it will be a huge positive.

Its smoke and mirrors until either Villa or Rangers put out something official. Reminds me a bit of the old Morelos bid from China that was mashoove, there was never any proof of that.

what huge bid? only bid that was confirmed was a 7m bid that I can remember. Apparently according to papers Morelos was due to earn 30m from it but I doubt that was true.

It doesn’t matter really in all honesty but I’d have thought that suggesting that someone turned down three managerial opportunities being made as a claim might be substantiated by at least naming these clubs. Or even one of them.
I’d have also expected the Scottish media and Rangers to have sung it from the rooftops as some kind of positive spin. Yet, nothing.

Naming the teams would help substantiate the claim. Not naming them leaves it open to accusations of “utter horsesheite”, and quite rightly so.
Not one single bear, piece of media outlet or anything at all is able to name a side Gerrard has supposedly turned down.

Its smoke and mirrors until either Villa or Rangers put out something official. Reminds me a bit of the old Morelos bid from China that was mashoove, there was never any proof of that.

what huge bid? only bid that was confirmed was a 7m bid that I can remember. Apparently according to papers Morelos was due to earn 30m from it but I doubt that was true.
highest bid we knocked back was 18m if I remember correct from Lille that the Lille chairman confirmed he had made and was knocked back
