Being a fan isn't all cakes and fine wine, Beeb. We will have to make do a bit of thin gruel for now. One fine day we will be back at the top table though.
Should be even more of a laugh away next Wednesday now, bring it on. 💪🏻
We’ll this is just pants.
But we still get to go and watch a game of football. A pity it’s football without jeopardy or reward but we can still enjoy a win.
Being a Ram is for life and we’ll have a promotion charge to look forward too but we’ll have to take a bit of medicine first.

Getting out of League One has been a surprisingly difficult stumbling block for a lot of teams in the past (Leeds included).
Wouldn't surprise me if you have to stomach a few seasons at that level before you get back to Championship.

We have never bounced back straight away from any relegation that I can remember
This also means we won't be able to loan our youth out, or it will have to be with the condition that they don't start games.
Unless the condition is "starts for us" but the previous punishment didn't make that provision.
Part of me expects us to launch our own legal action against the EFL now though. I don't think there's any reason to not do that at this point.
Where’s Egor?
It’s Wycombe you feel for. All the derby shenanigans and appeals delayed what should have happened last season.

Morris may have done that but I can't see anyone else going down that dead end
Still think you’ll survive just personally
18 point gap, 29 games left isn’t that hard to turn around
I’d like to thank the Leeds fans for their input on this thread.
At least we’ll have an excuse for being relegated to div 3 unlike Leeds who where just shiite

Outside of the clubs wants to see blood I'd imagine we would have support of much of the league.
Fans and owners of every club want to be sure that if the EFL signs something off, and the club acts in good faith, they're not going to be punished for doing that. Otherwise it's just a case of "who's next to be thrown under the bus" because it will happen again if the EFL are allowed to continue to act with impunity, and it could be to the club of any rival supported.

I doubt that there are many that have sympathy with the club, sympathy for the fans maybe as it's always them that suffer.
Morris pushed the boundaries & came unstuck, then now we have to pay the price.
Mel did many things wrong, handled many situations badly and should never be allowed near another business in his life, never mind a football club, but in this case he made sure to get everything ratified by the EFL before acting on it, acted in good faith, and as a direct result we've now ended up with -21 points.
I don't think a single other club would want to see that happen to them.
As I've said before, I get it that League membership means regulations and enforcement of them but those regulations have to be fair and their enforcement can always be tempered by common sense and discretion.
Ed Dawes thinks the 21 point deduction is fair. I suspect no-one on here will agree. Here's the question: what is the point of enforcing draconian regulations in such a way that there will be serious consequential financial implications for a club already in serious financial difficulty? This makes the EFL's protestation that they are working to ensure the survival of DCFC a load of pure humbug!
(Compare the sanctions against the would-be Euro Super-Leaguers with our punishment!)
The main reason they get away with it is that it's bully tactics, attacking those least in a position to fight it.
I'm 100% sure if this was taken to a proper court of law we'd have another 'Bosman' moment, a landmark ruling showing that these rules are not just. An independent panel already said we acted in good faith, an actual court of law I'm sure would come down on the EFL like a ton of bricks.
But we can't afford to risk further punishments in the meantime by taking that route, nor is it the responsibility of the administrators to do so, and by the time we can it will be too late for any outcome to matter to us, so it would only be for the benefit of other clubs.

Bringing up Wycombe into the debate is a very valid point. Imagine been relegated whilst derby stayed up.

Which in January would leave us with
Roos
Byrne..Jags..Davies...Fozzy
....Ravel...Bielik...Wat/Sib....
...Baldock....CKR.....Williams..
Bielik if he stays fit would then go end of season. Watson, Sibley and Williams would depend on their form.
So planning for next season might be mute as we might end up with only that back four, Roos and CKR. Think the planning for next season has to be transfer policy. Try n be as competitive as we can be this year, who knows other teams might hit financial turbulence too.
Rooney can leave with his head held high if he wants to and I imagine that would free up more money, maybe have a clean out of the coaching side of things too and go more practical than Hollywood.
We have a good academy which might give us a bit of a League One edge, really need strong leadership at board level In terms of team maybe a balance of golden oldies, one or two loans, a breakout year from an academy player next season, and some experience within the coaching ranks of getting out of La Liga 1 n building a championship side.
Mark Robins' stock has sadly gone up. 😢 Chucking money at it and Derby don't seem to go that well. So would be nice to see a balanced n sensible approach to getting out of the mire we're in.
Cue calls for Clough and subsequent cries of support and horror.
