Murphy out!

I went to bed when it was 5-3 as I had to be up early today lol.

Murphy was pretty bitter about the defeat as well.

Murphy should have won, missed a sitter blue, & the young lad cleared up, he looks ill at ease with his weight etc, happens too often to Murphy does an early round exit.

He’s getting destroyed in the comments as he should be.

I usually try to defend Murphy but when I saw his comments, I really didn’t know where to start at how pathetic he sounded.

Yep I'm not sure why Murphy said that. He is usually pretty down to earth and has come across an idiot with those comments.

I love that people have dug out an article from a couple of years ago about Shaun Murphy trying to gain a spot on the golf Open Championship as an amateur.

Then again, who would have thought the good Christian man (who cheated on his wife with a prozzie) would be a hypocrite?

Not sure if Murphy is aware of the ill feeling he's created, he's not everyone's cup of tea but I would like to think he would retract what he said. Also surprised that Robertson has come out and not exactly disagreed with him. Try being a journeyman pro and then you'll know what it's like to struggle to make a living out of the game.

He certainly was and I'm pretty sure he has won an Amateur tournament before.

Yep I dont agree with Murphy's comments. Amateurs should get a crack at the whip here and there. They are amateurs for a reason, and Murphy should have whooped him quite frankly.

I see Un-Nooh just beat Hendry 6-1 with an average shot time of 14.23 seconds! Wish I saw him play more often.

Hendry lost 6-1 Thepchaiya Un-Nooh made 5 centuries, he was on great form. Jack Lisowski won 6-0.

Slessor lost 6-5, apparently he slammed his cue off the table a few times in frustration during the match.

So Murphy's opinion is that a young player, who played well and won a match shouldn't be allowed to compete. But an old geezer like Pinches, who is currently getting spanked by Gould should be allowed there because he's ranked 109th in the world?
