What gets to me is he mentioned about himself putting ‘food on the table’
What makes him think that the amateur has it any easier than him to put food on the table?

Indeed, I saw an interview with the Scottish fella Fraser Patrick, who had a good run in the NI or English Open.
Said his day job is an Amazon Delivery Driver, and rarely has time to practice. The only good runs he has at tournaments is when he has had a week to prepare. Ronnie was going to get him to sort his tip out too. Murphy cries about putting food on the table
Yes exactly, Murphy had every possible advantage to win this game and lost. It happens, but there’s a way you deal with that loss and all he seems to be doing is whining.
Robbo 5-2 down to Astley.
Get in. 6-2 to the amateur bit nervous now about Judds match tonight.

Based on the draw, any idea as to what round potentially trump, Selby, Higgins, Ronnie could play against each other?

I think it would be semi finals and final potentially.
It will be by ranking so likely quarters/semi. Just had a look at the draw...
In the top half of the draw....
Ronnie is in the same quarter as Wilson, but could easily be facing Bingtao in the quarters. Would potentially face Bingham in R4 I think.
The second quarter is really open. Robbo out, Williams there but apparently is in bad shape after COVID/gout, Maguire...
In the bottom half...
John could face Selby in the Quarters.
Judd was in the same quarter as Murphy, who is out. Judd may get Hawkins in R4 then either Gilbert/Allen in the quarters.
Round 3 is where Judd is most vulnerable in the UK championship. Ever since he won it in 2011 5 of the next 9 UK championships he's lost in the last 32 stage!
Good win for Judd. Started off well then struggled a bit but finished off very well.

murphy never struck me as someone who's struggled to put food on the table. if anything the tricky part for him is presumably leaving it on the table.

2nd round schedule all up for this weekend
Ding is now down to 25th in the rankings due to him losing the points from the UK championship 2 years ago. I think he would need to make the semi finals in order to get into the top 16.
How did Robbo play thought he was in good form of late?
Robbo didn't play well yesterday, he has been good this season though so it was a surprise him going out in the 1st round.
Apparently the afternoon session is starting at 13:27 today

Shaun Murphy received some boos apparently lol
Murphy doing some punditry on the BBC, really hope he is getting paid so he can put food on the table for his family.
Yan Bingtao loses 6-3. Jack Lisowski wins 6-4.
