Spoke to Paul Merton about 5 years ago in the queue to board a ferry to France, where all the car lanes merge before boarding. He was next to us for a while, hot day, window down. My Mrs offered him a wine gum (possibly fruit pastilles or sports mix) and he took 3. Never liked him since the fat caaant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Paul Merson would’ve done the same.

Shawn Michaels in Arizona, nice guy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah legend, literally my number one hero. Would kill to meet him. Please let me kill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Robb. You must have a better hero than Shawn Michaels. Please say you do.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah, sweet chin music was THE move.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He genuinely was the Messi/Ronaldo of wrestling. I almost met him in September 1997 as he was doing a signing in London but Diana went and bloody died and it was cancelled. Hated Paris ever since.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Isn't wrestling choreographed children's entertainment?

I've never watched it, that's just what I've heard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wrestling was brilliant. It is all choreographed but we didn't know that in the early days. WrestleMania 1 hulk Hogan and Mr T v rowdy Roddy and some other dude. Watched it

Met Anna Freil and Rhys Ifans in Portmeirion when they were a couple. Met Rhys Ifans a few times actually. Nice fella but a bit bonkers.
Met Nark Hughes opening some building in a local town to me. It was when we were linked with Paul Ince, and I asked him what the latest was. He just completely ignored me.

Met Anneka Rice in France when on holiday with high school. Didn’t talk to her though.

Bumped into Liam Gallagher in Chester. He was just standing on a street corner with some mates. Didn’t approach him though, as I think he’s a bit of a plonker.

Saw Jay Kay of Jamiroquai fame in a pub in Aylesbury. Didn’t bother disturbing him either.

The nicest celeb I met was David Jason. It was in Theatr Gwynedd. He was there watching a show that starred his then partner Myfanwy Talog (sadly passes away now). Has a great chat with him at the interval.

Hi Babyen. I'm glad you praised David Jason. One of the finest comedic actors ever.

My old man used to do frequent business in South Africa and during the 2010 world cup sat in business class next to Geoff Hurst and then sat at the bar on the plane with Hurst, Rio Ferdinand and one of the sky presenters who's name escapes me.

Tried to persuade Rio to sign for Liverpool

I used to walk past Uncle Albert from OFaH nearly every week as he had a stall in Christchurch in Dorset. Think he was selling stuff or just pics with him. Quite sad to see as he was looked cold sitting out there every week.

debbie harry on a montreal street at about 4 in the morning she was still hammered from the night before.

I'm interested... how old was she at the time though? Proper 1970's Debbie Harry?

1970s Debbie

Hottest Debbie? The Call me video 😻
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or Heart of Glass video. Or those pictures of her in the Vultures T-Shirt.

Better conditions than when he was in the war.

Met the cast of goodness gracious me at various times. The white lass who appeared in some of the episodes was married to one of the blokes. Not Sanjeev, the other one. Spoke to her for about an hour once after watching a live performance at a local theatre.

Mina, the one who later started in EastEnders, I sat and watched England v India at headingly.

I must be old school. Only person who menstruates in wrestling in my era was Chyna, who I’m still not sure wasn’t a bloke.

Love in the Heart of Glass video how she is looking through the camera at your eyes. Fit. Saw her live in Bournemouth a few years ago and it was sad as her voice is nowhere as good as her peak. Expected but still sad.

Alright Diafol. Genuinely nice guy was David Jason.

I’ve also had a few chats with Mark Webster over a few pints watching United in Denbigh. Not sure if he’s classed as a celeb these days though.

I had a delightful tongue in mouth session with that Gemma from Hollyoaks in the pre-Ronaldo days. Never sealed the deal though.

Where I lived as a student they filmed a black tv series, brothers and sisters iirc, a few houses down. Geoffrey from the fresh prince was one of the stars.

A lot of the people from grange hill lived near me.

Sarah Lancashire filmed a drama in an old chippy on the street I grew up in. Mum and dad were still there when filming began. They wanted some of us as extras

I beat Phil the Power in a 3 darter.

Was three darts dropped from the top of a step ladder but I think that still made me the lineal champion of the world.

Dealt with quite a few over the last ten years.

Favourites of those I’ve only met are SAF and Eric (he was having dinner with Mick Hucknall) he shook my hand and I remember not washing it for like two days.

Worked with a fair few celebs over the last ten years say. My favourite, but by no means the most famous, was Gillian Anderson (Scully from X Files) she was just a really nice person and was hot AF. Really enjoyed being in her company

Are darts players celebs or just people in really large pubs?
