I would recommend "Timeless" on Netflix, a modern day Quantom leap is the best way to describe it.

The latest 3rd series of "You" was the best one in my opinion but series 1 & 2 are good also on Netflix. If you liked Dexter you'll like this.

And one more series on Netflix I'd recommend is "Ozark"
which has a new 4th series coming soon and if you liked Breaking Bad this is sort of the same theme with a respectable family man money laundering for a large drug gang.

I'm watching a Scandi noir called the Bridge which I'm enjoying.
And recently watched something called 'In my skin' I think which I enjoyed. About a teenage girl with a lot of problems.

I recently watched the first series of The Bridge. I quite enjoyed it, and liked the two main characters, but the plot went in a couple of directions I didn't really want it to.

Not sure I'll watch the rest as they're not on iPlayer for much longer and it took me ages just to watch one series.

x2 Only watched it recently, thought it was great even though I later read they overdid it with all the veiled threats. I also found out that part of the personal stories are based on the oral reports collected by a Belarussian-Ukranian women who I'd never even heard of but whose efforts in recording Soviet-era oral tradition earned her the Nobel Award for Literature.

I think they took some creative licence in order to translate some broader truths into individual dramatic scenes, conflated multiple characters into a single one, and I'm sure the trial denouement was fictional. I don't object to any of that. I know the "I'll have you shot" threat in the helicopter was criticised as unrealistic at that time - indeed, a government official wouldn't have had that kind of power. I actually took that more as the kind of crude language that an official could conceivably use, which wouldn't be understood literally, but I guess most of the Western audience wouldn't have taken it that way.

By the way, having spent a lot of time in the former Soviet Union in the 1990s, I can say that the set design, clothing, props, etc. were incredibly realistic and must have been created with great care and research.
