Newcastle one was dreadful, as was the Xhaka foul on Raphinha. The officials are getting worse week by week even though they have video assistance now.
The funny thing is that var was supposed to sort out inconsistent decisions. It actually seems to have made it worse.
Someone will come up with the numbers but I bet it'll be about the same % of correct decisions as before. I said all along.. VAR doesn't solve anything. It just moves the problem. Which is human subjectivity being applied to a complex, fast moving contact sport.
I swear everyone just drank the Kool Aid so now we get to watch adverts mid game and still moan about refs. Yay.
Robertson red card. Absolutely clear cut. Yet somehow the ref only called it as a yellow until VAR intervened.
====
He didn't send off Kane so perhaps he was subconsciously evening the score. The question is why VAR didn't intervene re Kane but intervened re Robbo. VAR ref was a manc
Think the ref got the Kane one wrong. Both him and Robertson were reds.
The ref was consistent on the penalty calls. Jota, Winks and Alli were all soft pen shouts.
Can't blame the ref for the Salah handball, just can't see it in real time.
VAR...hi Paul... Can you go over to your monitor and look at that last incident....?
Oh wait it was Kane.... Never mind a yellow card will suffice...VAR out
Jota was not a soft pen shout lol
The Jota incident was not a penalty. Fact.

No penalties in this game. Fact. Happy to help
Thanks a million for clearing that up
If Jota was a pen then so was Winks/Dele. All attacking players were looking for contact, there was some and they fell over.
Ref was consistent in not giving all three, which I can't argue with.
IMO Jota wasn't looking for contact. That's how he plays. There was another incident where he could have shot at goal but attempted a deft touch inside the defender and the chance was gone.
The Winks one wasn’t even inside the box
