Best match in this round...

Welcome to 2022

A rejoiced Antonio whose contract extended will rip Leeds apart

Sneaky feeling we'll either take this to pens and win or we'll win the league match. Really don't see us getting beat twice in all honesty. No game for a week, no reason to put out a strong side.

Meslier

Ayling
Llorente
Koch
Firpo

Forshaw

James
Klich
Dallas
Harrison

Greenwood

Half tempted to play Heldje at CB as he might soon be needed given our injury list.

James scored last time out.

Bielsa will play him upfront with bamford coming on to gwt minutes so he can start upfront next week

Hopefully a big Leeds win and West Ham condemned to at least 42 years without a major domestic trophy

Haven't won an FA cup 3rd round tie since 2017 We lost in the 4th round to Sutton. Before that, 4 of last 6 were also 3rd round defeats. Safe to say Carsburg to better cup runs.

I can't see Bielsa going for this and I expect to see Drameh, Summerville and Greenwood all make an appearance. Lewis Bate would also be an interesting option. I would like to see Harrison and James on the wings, with Raph at centre-forward. Just have the feeling he could cause a lot more damage in that role, and hold the ball up better than James. Then bring Bamford on for the last half an hour.
This is a good opportunity for Bielsa to give the youngsters a run out, and to rest players who need it. Although we are bringing a huge away support to this one, an easy home win is on the cards. 3 - 1 West Ham.

Almost 9,000 dirty Leeds fans tomorrow, but only 3,000 for next Sunday’s league game. Think both games will be tight, I’d prefer points to a Cup run. MOT!

I know we're underdogs but I fancy us to beat West Ham, 12 years since we shocked Man U n 2010 which was the year of the Ox going into the year of the Tiger.... Same as now which is usually a good year for the club. We'll see.

Not sure how to feel about this game..

Think we have more chance in the cup game as we could get by on penalties would much prefer to get something out the league game though.
All the bielsa, that would be interesting to see raf between James and Harrison. What have we got to lose?

If we play a winder up top then we are fcked. West Ham play big defenders, and not a high enough line that we would be able to expose them. Rumours going round that Bamford hasnt travelled.

The rumour on Bamford is that he had an issue with the quad injury in the training session after the press conference. We can say won't believe it until confirmed every time but each and every one of these early rumours on injuries has later turned out to be true so far this season and if has not travelled lines up with that.Hopefully he can recover quickly.

Certainly an unprecendented situation to have no senior fit centre forwards in the club and a big challenge to manage through.

How many centre forwards do you want? One fit one would be great thanks.

Not going to get strung up on this one - but wouldn't it be great to really stick it to them today? We have nothing to lose so let's see what Greenwood can do up top? I'm sure Bielsa will stick with James, though.

No more injuries today, please!

COME ON LEEEEEEEEEEDS!!!!!

The only silver lining I can find is that we are going to get a real close look at some of the under 23s today and it might help sharpen the focus on any business we do in the loan/transfer market on which positions are targeted.

Yeah 10 out of 18 seniors out injured - "small squad" can't be the right way forward, surely?

I'm worried about losing Forshaw or Dallas at this point in the season, in particular. Think without someone experienced holding in midfield, we are stuffed. West Ham are a physical side and not afraid to get stuck in.

Good point, Rob. Wouldn't it be worth giving Lewis Bate a go in midfield with Greenwood up top? Those are the two positions we need to strengthen most.

Jeez...but...ONWARDS AND UPWARDS! C'MON LEEEEEDS!

Yes fully expecting bate and Greenwood to start. Particularly intrigued to see how Bate gets on and showcase what he can do against a very good team.

Depending on his performance it could dictate what we do in the market. A lot of sub plots aside from the game itself and one to sit back and try enjoy with a huge away following.
