It would be an interesting article to do an 80s vs 90s movie war. We were very lucky to live (well, some of us) through two decades of such great output
I missed putting The Fugitive in my list, among others. An incredibly re-watchable film.
A few very good films that I haven't seen mentioned
Last Of The Mohicans
Life Is Beautiful
The Last Boy Scout
Boyz In The Hood
True Lies
Philadelphia

Yeah, fell bad for those born after the 90s who will never get to see those great movies that were only played in the decade they were released...

😈 It’s different seeing them through the eyes of the time they were released. Plus people today have far less of an attention span than back then so the pace of a movie has changed.
80's would win for horror, I think 90's would win for everything else.
80s would win for comedy too
Ghostbusters
Beverly Hills Cop
Coming to America
The Naked Gun
Airplane
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
To name but a few

Make that most Steve Martin films. He stopped being funny after the 80's.
LA Story with Martin in was good but not that funny!

Yeah. Steve Martin lost all his zaniness in the late 80's onwards and it made him and his films less funny.
I'm part way through 80s atm. Have done 70s, 00s, and 10s.
