Wolves are on fire right now
Wolves were worthy of the win. and it is clear to see the quality we have. It is no accident we challenging near the top, and no team is going to fancy playing us, with our defensive record.
The bonus is seeing the goals starting to flow, as we press higher up the field,
Shame about possiibly losing Traore though

Good day this, Wolves win followed by a Bengals win against the odds in the play offs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't believe the packers fexked it against the 49ers again 😢
You talking about American Rugby or Rounders?

My initial thoughts were that it would be the Steve Bull and Jeff was pulling an insurance job to continue the redevelopment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would've been half right Tam, Jeff would've bagged the insurance dosh for sure, but it would've stayed in the bank until he'd earned enough interest on it to build a temporary stand to replace it.
Aren't they talking about re-opening the temporary stand? Got to admit whenever I'm at a game I always feel quite embarrassed about it. I suppose it does look a little bit less shabby when it's full of supporters.
The Graham Hughes stand will reopen in February which will add a bit to the capacity but I agree it doesn’t look ‘Premier League’
Are they ever going to improve the ground or is it a pipe dream.
We need to be able to maximise the potential in capacity in order to move forward with the team.
Have plans been submitted or has it all stalled.
Clearly, with bigger capacity I reckon we could average 35,000, maybe more if we started to climb the table. At present we average about 29,000 or so. So something like 100,000 extra tickets sold over a season. Roughly £4m, not all profit. Let's say £20m over 5 years. This is a drop in the ocean of course, as most of a club's incoming money comes from TV.
How much would it cost to replace the Steve Bull stand?
Wolves are one of the organisations signed up to work with the council on the Wolverhampton Masterplan for the city. So whatever they do to the stadium needs to fit with the general plans for the Molineux area and it’s links to the city. So they can’t change things unilaterally they need to be part of the wider consultation.
Positives are that they will end up with a better solution for the whole area, planning permission will be easier to secure and they could secure government and lottery funding to help with development costs. Negative is that all this takes time
I think with a developed stadium and a continuation in the top half of the Premier League we could average much more than 35,000. We have shown a capability of filling a stadium for every league game of over 30,000, and there is a waiting list for tickets, there is a large number of people who have just given up trying to get into league games cause tickets are so hard to get, and modern facilities always attracts a new batch of supporters
Sounds like the fire in the middle of last night in the kitchen area of the Jack Hayward Suite caused considerable damage although it was contained to within that area. It will likely mean that hospitality facilities for the next game or two will need to be cancelled plus the restaurant on non match days. The safety of the area is under review but there must be a chance that part of the Billy Wright stand above this area could be considered unsafe pending repair work

If there is any damage that would affect safety, we could expect that to take time to remedy, months not weeks. If so, forget increasing the capacity it would be reduced for the rest of the season.
Looking at that Twitter photo, not quite sure exactly where that bar is situated but very likely there would seating above that damaged seating. They won't take any chances.
* above that damaged ceiling
The bar is under the Billy Wright stand. Fairly central, slightly towards the South Bank end
At least they have two weeks to check for structural damage.
He was quite good at that when he was with us I seem to remember.
Jota has an A* in shiithousery
Nasty looking damage there, not been in there for many years but as I recall it's at the exec box level, I think there are more offices and hospitality areas above it and I suspect it will be the safety checks on those that will be required rather than spectator seating areas which have a good thick concrete base.
Stadium development still appears to be on hold, no comments from the club on the subject at all since Jeff's comments last year.
After Sir Jack's rebuild back in the early 90s we went from averaging around 15k per match to 28k sell outs pretty much every week, I don't think a new development would have the same dramatic impact but I could see us averaging 40 thousand if we were able to keep the onfield progress up. I think the club are wary off the clubs history though and knowing what happened after the John Ireland stand and the new Stan Cullis were built. But if that's the case it implies that the club don't trust themselves to learn those lessons and manage a project properly. Though I guess they would say that waiting until the time is right is learning those lessons and managing the project correctly. So here we are waiting for the button to be pressed.
Problem is the longer we leave it the supporters not getting season or matchday tickets will get frustrated.
Now is the time to cash in when there is a full fan base itching to get to matches.
I know it cannot be done overnight, but if there is some hope of it actually happening supporters will hang on.
