It's a pity this website doesn't allow me to remove the o from the The Black Count(ry), as the last word would be very apt at describing him.

This is my all time favourite

Yeah that was a classic. I don't think he had any idea how racist that came across.

Hopefully our walking wounded will be back before too long, which should appease some on here, or not.

Yup, 7th twice and all with a small squad. 8th so far this season with 5 players out injured.

Are you ever satisfied cinci?
Cinci, I do get tired of you insinuating that I am against having a large squad.

Maybe all this flip flopping around the country has affected your memory and is confusing you.

If Bruno thinks he can do without Traore then as long as we get 20mil minimum then I think we should let him go.
If Bruno does have plans to play him more then perhaps we can wait until the summer as we don't need him sat on the bench when we could have £20mil in the bank.

My starting 11 for Saturday

Sa
Kilman, Coady, Gomez
Semedo, Moutinho, Neves, Ait-Nouri
Traore Jimenez Podence

I think ideally Bruno would choose to keep Traore. But is also pragmatic enough to understand, if he is not signing a contract, then it makes sense to let him go, and reinvest.

I would like to see Traore stay, but accept with one year left on his contract, he is probably moving on.

We have made a complete hash of the Traore situation altogether. we should have cashed in when the football world was fooled by him for a short while. That said, I find it hard to believe anybody would ever have spent upwards of 40 million on a very limited footballer.

We should still be snapping hands off for 20 million, better that then a bench warmer.

Be amazed if Traore starts, Bruno didn't fancy him prior to the unsettling that has gone on this week.

With neto and hwang back soon added to trincao and podence we can afford to cash in on a winger

That 20m reinvested into another player for the engine room for me would be a decent deal

Well according to the Bible he never married which was very unusual for Jewish men of his time.

Having just read what sellars said about Kawabe I'm now convinced he'll never play a game for us. Stuff like"he knows he needs to continue working hard to develop his football." And "We hope everything he’s learnt in the last few weeks will really benefit him going forward". Which all sounds to me like they've realised he's not going to make it but at least Mrs Guo has an extra half a mill off the old man to help keep the hoppers hopping for a bit longer

Strange bit of business. 18 month loan back to them apparently and that would mean he will be 28 at the end of that.

Not sure i fully understand what we gain from that move?

I think there was a limited window where he would get a work permit. We have signed him for less than Grasshoppers paid for him, so we shouldn't lose anything. If he does improve, there are commercial benefits to having a player from that region.

I don't think he will play fit us, but I think I was a business decision to take a punt on him.

At a time when we are being described as cash strapped it’s really poor business to buy a player for the benefit of Grasshoppers rather than ourselves. Especially when fifa are on the point of limiting the number of players that can be loaned out internationally. Wolves are going to have to change their policy here because we exceed the limits being mooted

Some shocks in the ACON tournament with Ghana and Algeria going out in the group stages but tiny Comoros making it through. Saiss’ Morocco team meet Malawi in the last 16 then Ivory Coast or Egypt in the QF. Even if Morocco go all the way to the final Saiss will only miss two more Wolves games, tomorrow against Brentford and the cup game against Norwich

The bbc will be showing two of the quarter finals plus the semis and the final. Sky are showing all the games

I'm not really sure Grasshoppers benefit that much. They signed him for £1.15 million in the summer. We bought him for £500k, so they have actually made a loss on him and whilst he plays for them still, they have no real control over what happens with him.

Also, don't the limits on international loans only apply to players over 21? So we will still be able to send younger players on loan to Grasshoppers.

It also doesn't apply club grown players, so player who come through our academy will be exempt too. So we are already within the rules as we only have three there who don't meet the criteria.

If anything, it will just force us to move on players like Bonatini and Oskar Buur, who aren't going to play for us again.
