It does feel as though we might be approaching, if not the end, then the end of the beginning. Even IF we get to preferred bidder point there is still a very long way to go. Itf the "independent" arbitration goes our way it would feel as though one massive hurdle would have been circumvented though. It would stop Gibson paralysing any progress by his hold over Parry. Without the war between Morris and Gibson overshadowing everything, you would think some sort of a deal will be done over the stadium. We can only hope.
Match-wise, to see Bielik would be another boost. A bigger one would be to get to the end of deadline day and lose no more players.
Maarnin' View & all
Disgustingly, I'll be watching 666-style from the questionable comfort of my front parlour, rather than making the Long March with View, Vids and the gang. This will definitely be a day for the memory bank, in the same way that visits to Wembley, playoff semis and 5-0 victories over the Dogs are.
Have a great day, all. The exiles will be with you in unity & spirit.

17 tickets left for Sunday
Chance for 666 to go then, if the 17 are all together that it.
Morning on this blustery day. I plagiarised your piece on Gibson and the EFL to Guardian letters yesterday Vidal. Didn't bother referencing you as no one reads them.
Just had a quick look at the trains to Derby tomorrow as a last minute dash. First one arrives at half-twelve, so it's definitely the sofa for me. 😞
Vidal, are you going to Cardiff away on 1st March?
I probbaly will, Scouse. It's a Tuesday and I get a hlaf day on Tuesdays so should be able to get there.

Match is half one.
None of us has any time for Morris but by keeping out of the public eye and saying nothing he has perhaps forced the hand of the EFL, much against their wishes. They and Gibson want him to suffer but by keeping silent and letting it be known via third parties that the ground "would not be an impediment" to a deal going through he has infuriated both of them. The petulant "open letter" of Gibson a couple of weeks ago was proof of that, as was the simultaneous EFL statement.
They were hoping that by piling on the pressure onto the club that he would back down and take the financial hit on the stadium. Maybe that would have been the best thing but we don't know for sure whether that would have meant that the EFL and Gibson would then have backed off. They might have SAID they would, but who would believe them?
I suspect that Morris would gift the stadium, but his ego won't allow it tio appear that he has been forced to do so by Gibson. It seems pathetic but maybe if arbitration rules in our favour then Morris would be happy to give away the stadium and laugh in Gibson's face.

I've got a ticket and as I'll have hit the big six-0 by then, I get the discounted "senior" rate!

Quick question.
Is anybody having trouble viewing news items on the dcfc site ?
I can get videos, but not the 'written' news
Just says 'could not load data at this time'

I know.
Does someone need to tell Vidal that Scouse is going tomorrow?
I'm feeling a lot more positive today that (1) Rooney is staying (2) he's been told we aren't selling (3) the 1 month extension
It all adds up to something being announced sooner rather than later.
If, at the same time, the EFL is also forced to make admin and personnel changes as a result of its clearly not being fit for purpose, then everyone will win.
Apart from HMRC and Mel Morris ... and ideally Rick Parry and his cronies
