City will need a rebuild soon as a lot of their players are getting old. If he feels he has that SAF style energy and can rebuild the squad at a club which is perfect for him then fair enough.

Tbh I’m not sure where else he could go. Barca is a mess. He’d never join Real. I can’t see him managing in England anytime soon after City (though perhaps Chelsea one day). PSG is a circus, he’s done Bayern. Maybe Juventus? The Spain national side?

20 million a year and the fact Barca are as messed up as we are helps to sweeten Manchester Weather

Apparently City's academy has some amazing talent. If he were to stay and rebuild the squad using a decent few of those players, he'd do something that he hasn't done so far at any of his other clubs. It'd be a real legacy.

What are his other options though? At City he has a great set up that’s hard to match anywhere else.

International management? South America for something different? Serie A is probably the remainly ‘big’ league he hasn’t tried but he’s not really going to have a chance in Europe.

I know it was a few years ago, but Jose won the CL with Inter. If Pep was to take over at Juve he'd have a chance at the CL.

If he was after a challenge, he’d go to Ajax and implement his game there with little resources and see what he can achieve.

There is a good side to this especially for the likes of Klopp, Tuchel & Conte.

You win a domestic title with Pep in it then you surely know the standards were high.

Pep’s career trajectory

City until 2025
Spain 2025 - 2028
Newcastle 2028 - 2042

Tbf both Conte and Klopp have won a title with Pep in the league. Tuchel will have to step up next season.

Spain national team or PSG are the only moves I could imagine would even be remotely tempting in his situation and even then they're major downgrades really.

Would love for him to takeover a shiiite side (like us) and prove he can do it against adversity as it's one thing he doesn't have on his CV.

What Jose did with Inter was pretty impressive. The master stroke was selling Ibra to Barca and getting in Etoo, Sneidjer, Milito, Lucio and Motta. Greatly improved his own squad while also causing issues at Barca. The volacsno in Iceland also helped.

There’s every chance Spain and Portugal might host the 2030 World Cup so perhaps he might be looking to manage Spain for that.

For someone very vocal about Catalan’s independence I wonder if he even cares about the Spanish job?

Why would psg be tempting to pep? You must have a very low opinion of him.

Pep, similar to Klopp and Simeone, seems like someone who lives and breathes the day-to-day intensity of club management.

He doesn’t seem like the kind of coach who’d be satisfied with what is essentially a part-time job, with little time on the training pitch, limited time with the players generally.

Maybe as his final job in football but in the next five years or so? I don’t think it suits him tbh.

Would like to see him manage Brazil.

If he goes to Italy, surely he needs to go to AC Milan. Rebuilding the giant.

Im sure another £1bn or so will help to transition the squad to a younger av. age.
