Edit to my prediction...........(Should read my own thread) No Firpo until W/End so Happy Jack can score another
Score draw, though fancy us fast out of the blocks after a break, plus we seem to do well at Villa. BTsport 1 btw
Villa tend to play to our strengths and will be on the front foot from the start. If we do not concede in the first half, I think we have the players to get in behind their defence and cause trouble later in the game. True, Gerard has had an impact, but they have only beaten Norwich and Everton since he came in, so it's not exactly fireworks. I expect a game similar to West Ham with goals for both sides. 1 - 1, Raph to score a worldie.
Newcastle signing Trippier was one of the best moves this season. Paying off massively.
I think the bottom-of-the-table positions after tonight's results give a good indication of who's going down. Newcastle are up and flying and I doubt Everton will go down, so let's just keep picking up the points here and there and we'll be fine.
Said a week or so ago, I'll be shocked if Newcastle go
down. They are flying Lorra. They looked transformed.
Top 4 may well be sh *.tting themselves now. Give them
one summer and they'll be a threat to them.
Looks like it's us and Everton who the bottom 3 are aiming at. I think the three in the relegation zone are the 3 going down. Cant see what they offer in regards to catching us
I wouldn't rule Burnley out yet. They don't care about playing football. Clogging and scraping points is their
preferred way. Now they have the German Sasquatch
up front and he seems to fit their way.

Yep I suspect they'll finish above us now - I think the 3pts we gave them was the kick start they needed. Tbh I think they'd have pulled away anyway. You've got to think top 8 for the Geordies next season.
Brentford could be in trouble the way there results are going.

Hey let's wait till they actually form a good team. Lucky to beat us and Everton are really bad, I wouldn't be surprised if Everton go down.
I wouldn't rule out Everton going down either. Didn't look up for a fight tonight. Can't see Lampard sorting their defence out.

Very true. They looked awful.
Hey let's wait till they actually form a good team.
^^^^^
If they stay up (and I'm convinced they will), there'll
be no stopping them in the summer. Regardless of
what anyone thinks of where their money's coming
from, it will be used. And probably to great effect.
Oh and the new Brazilian midfielder's a sign of intent.

With the exception of Newcastle, I think we are all in this dogfight. I also expect Brentford to be sucked in. Don't be surprised if all three promoted sides go back down.

You don’t think Newcastle are in a relegation fight?
I think the current bottom 3 will probably go down (Burnley, Watford, Norwich). Having said that, I'm nervous about the points return from our next 5 games (Villa, Everton, both away, Man U home, Liverpool away and Spurs at home).
Newcastle probably have enough. Watford look done, but things can change. We need 3 points from the next two games. I think we will beat Everton, not sure about Villa
We really need to get something out of the game. A loss would be bad.
Odd the way people always go on about teams behind us when we're just as good as and better than most of them!..
Players returning, when was the last time we had a full strength team?..
Players returning, no reason why when they're all back we cant get back to how we know we can play!..
We've got this far on make shift lineups so surely it can get better!..

Appointing Lampard says everything about the poor decision-making at Everton. They needed a proven manager and can certainly afford one, so why opt for the opposite? Deserve what they get imo.
