Can someone explain to me how Maguire gets away with what he does in the box? In the age of VAR, there is no explanation for how he does so many blatant fouls that don't get called as penalties.

I'm genuinely baffled by it.

We showed more energy that 2cnd half than previously but we just cannot dominate another team in midfield

We were much better going 1-0 down

Hoddle & Scholes ripping them.

Positives: Sancho, Varane, Pogba, Dave.

Bruno also seems to be ticking a bit more nicely the last few weeks, but still has an incredibly annoying habit of giving the easy balls away. It’s awesome or rubbish, no middle ground.

Negatives:

Maguire is our worst CB in 30 years and yet starts every game;
only seem to have 45 mins in us;
neither Ronnie or Cavani should be playing 90 for us, yet we seemingly have no option;
Dalot is an improvement on AWB, but still not up to standard for a top-four-contending team;
Rashford needs a LONG period away from the starting 11. Not given up on him, as he’s shown us far too much for that, over the years, but he’s been dreadful for a long, long time now; and
Need a solid DM. I like Scott and think he can continue to be a useful player, he just shouldn’t be starting the top or important games.

Sad reality: all that money spent and the spine of the team (CF, CDM, CB) is in tatters.

One thing I won't complain about today is lack of effort'
But that's not saying much

It's like our team is doing the complete opposite of what we did under Ole.
I preferred us going 1-0 down first as well tbh, way more exciting than what I've seen so far.
