Sancho our best player again. Good to see.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah. Dalot has been better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought pogba was good.

Sancho has just been running a lot, feeding off balls from pog and Bruno.
He's pretty bang average near the goal, runs into dead ends a lot, doesn't have a left foot. 120 mill.

Dalot is very looking very good at the minute. Wasn’t sure he had it in him but thankfully now we didn’t swap him for 31 year old Trippier.

Southampton played the beloved Conte’s team off the park midweek, they are decent team full of confidence

If we don’t raise our game back up to the first twenty minutes we will lose this by a couple of goals.

A bit dramatic VC but can see it being 1-1 if we don’t cop on.

These are much better than Burnley. Much better. If we are not on it they will win the game.

I agree. Hopefully they don’t make history today.

Don't disagree with VC. The ease with which they got through us that last 10 mins was a real worry.

Forecasting this as well.

Usual lacklustre second half, late Southampton winner.

Nah we'll hold on. Have faith.

New centre forward and goalkeeper (as well as DM obviously) and this is a tasty side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s wrong with the keeper?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The football we want to play relies on having a keeper with excellent distribution and who is comfortable sweeping behind a high line.

De Gea's deficiencies with the ball at his feet occasionally lead to chances and goals conceded due to direct loss of possession. But also more regularly receiving the ball in ways that aren't conducive to building attacks because they aren't accurate enough (especially long balls) or because he chooses a conservative option where a better passer would find a better one.

As for lack of sweeping, this limits our ability to play a higher line, and adds to the vulnerability when we do. I've defended Maguire this week, but obviously his lack of pace is a shortcoming. De Gea's inability to come out of his box exacerbates the issue of Maguire's slow legs and definitely creates instability in the system.

Great shot stopper obviously (in present form).

3rd game running we’ve played well and gone 1-0 up. What happens next?

Game over?

Are our players strong enough mentally to overcome this?
