we were 100% stung on short sharp busts around our box, look at their goal, one through ball and we were toasted even with 3 CB's there

*roasted, not toasted

No bigger fan of Neves than me but the guy does get too many yellow cards. Can’t imagine him avoiding another one in the coming games

Geezzz. The second best defence in the league...and still complaints from Tammy and Bombolino.

Good job we're 7th. and 7 points clear of 9th.

I think for Ait-Nouri and Saiss, it was more forgivable for the goal as Albrighton got the run on them and it was a perfectly timed ball. One of Kilman or Coady should probably have been in a position to get in front of Lookman though.

What complaints? I've said it's unusual how shakey our defence have been the last few games and that they are normally more composed.

I haven't complained. I don't see what the issue is with pointing something out from the last game.

Sunny the irony of this comment

I wasn't complaining I was pointing out an observation, figured that's the point of a forum.

but fine whatever floats ya boat

I feel it's time to rest Jimenez, who apart from the lay back for the Neves goal, was way off what he's capable of. Some think he should be the first on the team sheet, but in my humble option, there are a few, way ahead of him right now.

imagine complaining about our talisman and #9 for being a bit off it after a potential life ending injury never mind career ending

anyone would think being in 7th was an underachievement

If our defence has an Achilles heel it’s the space between Saiss and Ait Nouri. Saiss is very slow on the turn and Ait Nouri doesn’t have a great positional sense defensively. Noticeable to me particularly in away games how many teams focus their attacking on that side

add in Coady who just (although he's cut it out a fair bit) just backs off arms behind his back.... there are weaknesses to every single team... we have less (thankfully) than many but they are still there

Of course we aren’t perfect defensively and there’s faults to be found but our defensive record shows we have much less weaknesses than most. I think we are stronger on the Kilman/Semedo side than Saiss/Ait Nouri side. Be great if Jonny could come back as the player of old. Coady has been great for us in his position but his Achilles heel is when forwards push up on to him so he has to be a centre back rather than a sweeper, as we have known since Mitrovic used to regularly give him a hard time, and Vardy come to that

We're on the same page DJ

Our defensive record speaks for itself but we set up to keep it tight and the pay off of being tight at the back is not having enough goals

Bruno has a call to make in the summer

With all the talk of who should lead the line , for me we don't have anyone better than Raul. I accept that he is still not at his best but have noticed that in the last couple of games he has been much more central than previously when he seemed to be wandering about all over the place.
I think eventually we will see the Raul of old and resting him is absolutely the wrong thing to do. The more game time he has, the better he will get.
The biggest change I want to see in our lineup is to adopt the same system as Liverpool - 4:3:3 with Raul up front flanked by Podence and Neto. As for the midfield and the back line, changes will be required and money will need to be spent (sorry Amiga but I'm sure they will spend wisely}

C'mon Tam, you know as well as i do that Bruno won't even bother analyzing anything either, second best defence and all that so i would be surprised if we even train at the moment and Bruno is probably having a few days shopping in Paris this week.

Paris? Everton’s managers used to go shopping there!

I think the reality is our defence is greater than the sum of its parts and it is the system which protects us and Bruno deserves more credit for that than our defence probably.

Southampton Burnley and Watford all had excellent results this weekend, yet none of their players manage to get into Garth Crooked’s “team of the week”.

Usual bias towards the Sky 6.

Confirmed now in the Portuguese press that Vinagre has signed a 5 year contract to join Sporting Lisbon. The fee is €10m and evidently Wolves would get 50% of any sell on profit

We've just beaten Leicester 2-1 and instead of talking about how well Neves and Podence took their chances, we have the two T's (Tammy and T'bombolino) moaning about how slow our defenders are, despite being the second best.

You couldn't make this up.

Here's a great stat for the 2 t's:-

What is the only club in the Premier League that hasn't conceded more than 2 goals in a league match?

Never mind, it's the slow defenders of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On Saturday, Finnish cross-country skier Remi Lindholm suffered a frozen 'private part' (not allowed to use the real word) during the men’s 50-kilometre mass start race in Zhangjiakou.

He did manage to finish tho'.(excuse the pun)

Thanks to the strikes of Neves and Podence, that's the first time Wolves have scored twice from outside the box in the PL.

Isn't it fairly obvious it is the system that protects us more than anything. I mean, it is fairly obvious why we don't score many either, the feckin system.

And that isn't moaning, its just a clear and obvious fact and i fully understand why Bruno has gone that route when he hasn't been able to build his own team, he is using what he has at his disposal.
