I see Alexander- Arnold is out with a phantom hamstring injury, 100% he will return after the international break, this is just Varpool excusing him from the England squad as they know they can do without him v Forest.

It gives him a nice little break and means he will be refreshed for the run in when he returns to the Varpool team after the internationals.

Yet more disgusting behaviour from Varpool, blatantly putting club before country once again.

Yes shame about McKenna. Probably mean a back four on Sunday; it woud be too big a risk to start with Panzo.

Number of games is catching up with us. Just hope we can hang in there and stay in touch until we get some players back in.

I was very surprised by Lolley. He looked really sharp when he came on...if he’s back on his game that’s a huge boost. I’d definitely start him.

I was standing on the cop for that game [Bridgeford end] what a night. I always remember John McGoverns comments regarding the game. He knew that once the second goal went in, that we were through.

Great article, looking spices already. We have another unknown to take into account, the dreaded VAR will be in use, just hope we don’t have to pay for the pile of carp. A real shame for us losing 3 key players in two games, all for significant amount of games, but I’m sure SC won’t complain and put put out a very strong and competitive side. As stated above this fixture is really about how seriously Klopp takes a cup competition, usually pretty seriously. Forest best hope is Liverpool complacency, but again Klopp doesn’t normally let this happen. It’s a great chance for us to showcase, again, how far we’ve come in a very short time. We’re in a no lose situation, the pressure is off, so just go out, give a good account of yourselves and give your all. The atmosphere will be electric, let’s hope the game doesn’t disappoint. If Liverpool are complacent Forest to win 2-1, if Liverpool are serious, Liverpool 3-0. Don’t see it going to pens. COYRs.

Has McKenna playing LB, although mentions him as doubtful re match fitness. All they had to do was visit the Post.

Has Worrall in the starting XI and on the bench. If we had two Worral’s I would have Figs on the bench.

Ojeda, Panzo and Soh seem to have left the club? Maybe they are all Paraguayan?

I don’t think a single Forest supporter has come on here and even suggested that we might seriously beat you, never mind ‘hammer you’

We’ll just be please to turn up and give a good account of ourselves against one of the best teams in Europe

Besides we have more important games coming up than this - the league is our main priority

If we get promoted, then we’ll talk about ‘hammering’ you….on a regular basis

In their respective leagues both Liverpool and Forest have the best football history, most vocal passionate support and totally dominate their local rivals!

With the international break and the opportunity of 4 trophies and the legendary status that would bring I expect the best from Liverpool with only those that can’t play not playing!

From our point of view we desperately don’t need any further injuries as the defence is down to bare bones! We will play on the front foot and have a good go creating the possibility of a classic cup tie! And you never know 😉😉😉

I’ve watched Mark Crossley telling stories about Clough. If youse haven’t seen any then I’d YouTube them. Absolute quality haha

I’ve got that video! Mcmahon sprinting to stop the ball on the sideline, stopped himself on the advertising boards then turning round, winning the ball and setting up a goal - amazing!!

If Liverpool play Milner in their RB position tomorrow, I’d be tempted to switch Johnson onto the left cos he’ll burn up Milner all day long 😂
