Arsenal are basically flat track bullies. Best team that have beaten all season is probably Wolves.
It might well be enough to get them into the CL this particular season but I'm still not buying into the Arteta hype at all.
Next season with European football to contend with and possibly more stable competition from Utd and Spurs I expect they will find it much much tougher.

this is one i keep hearing from Spurs and Man u fans, acting like that is an insult. We wasn't in ANYONE'S pick for top 4 or even top 6 at the start of the season. We're doing better than expected, now we're flat track bullies, beating teams chitter than us and losing to teams better than us.
Isn't that what your lot should be doing?

I do t think it can be denied that Arsenal have massively benefitted from having no Europe and crashing out of the cups very early on. Arteta has had a full weeks to prepare for games and you even had a nice unofficial winter break.
Arsenal have done well - but they are only just ahead of Spurs and United - 2 sides that sacked their manager this season and whom have been getting loads of flak from the media - particularly Roy Keane (no idea what he has against Spurs). It’s got to be put in context, Arteta has done okay, if he performs similarly next year whilst you compete in Europe and progress in the cups then I think we can say he has turned it around
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For all Arsenals amazing form and all Spurs ups and downs, since Conte has arrived our form has been pretty much the same. They've averaged 2.0 pts a game, we've averaged 1.9. They scored 1.8 a game, us 2.0. They've conceded 1 goal a game, us 1.1.
It is nip and tuck. In a way I am glad that we are chasing, always seems better to be looking up and chasing a clear target than looking down at the chasing pack closing in.

I think if we beat Palace we will do it.
Southampton is not a tough fixture on paper, they appear to be on holiday and West Ham will likely have a Europa semi vs Barca to worry about on either side of our game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
WHU play Lyon early/mid-April, long before they play Arsenal in May
Yea and if they win which I expect them to do, they will most likely face Barca in the semis.
Semi first leg April 28th
West Ham vs Arsenal May 1st
Semi second leg May 5th

Us, United, Chelsea - all will be desperate to beat you. Everton and Leeds could be scrapping for survival, Newcastle are starting to look decent.
Beating Palace won’t seal anything, it will just move you one step closer

it’s funny how it’s safe to assume Arsenal will lose all their difficult games but we can’t assume West Ham will not win a tie they are favorites to win. Who’s desperate again?
