I had a s3x education lesson in year 5 so would have been around 10. Parents were told beforehand and could opt out if they wished.

Should be the norm at that age I think to have the basics covered.

You haven't been to Florida. I have been to California, Texas and Florida and I saw people in San Francisco shtting on the pavement in the midday.

I'm sure there's someone in the world that once visited London (or any other big City) and happened to see someone sheeting on the pavement or something similar. Does that reflect on all of London?

This kind of anecdotal evidence is the problem with the internet as most people don't have the critical thinking skills to put such an incident in its place in the grand scheme of things. Too much meaning or misplaced meaning is placed on anecdotes.

I've been to various places in the States. Florida, California, Texas (Houston), Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and a random three days in Kentucky where I was supposed to be best man at a wedding, only the bride and groom couldn't make it because that Icelandic volcano grounded their flight. All of the places had their upsides and downsides. I met friendly and unfriendly people everywhere. It's well known that there are conservative and liberal pockets in every state, with slightly different balances depending on demographics, etc. The polarisation of the country is very much magnified by the media and political interests who benefit from it, and I think these 'cultural divider' issues serve to distract people from thinking about their fundamental and largely shared interests in better healthcare, better infrastructure, improved productivity, etc.

There must be some reason that the 'Florida man' trope is so enduring though.

You have to question why base Republicans do not want it. I do, and the ones down where I live, for the most part agree. Yet they still vote Republican.

Clinton is actually my second favourite president, despite me being a republican. I actually know him in real life. Myself, him and a well known British figure used to travel on a private jet together, belonging to a wealthy and very successful American business man. I may need to close my account and start a new one if this info is leaked but worth it to boast about these famous people being my associates.
