Concede any more and it's going to be hard to get back on level terms.
Half time. We can't let teams get a 2-0 advantage otherwise we can forget promotion.
Wasn't going to do a match thread until Ipswich, bit late for today, don't mind doing one for Huddersfield next week but away so can't contribute. Up to you guys.
We score a goal and then let them in again 3-1. That poor from us.
It looks as though we really need not just one new defender but a couple.
Benny save the match thread for the real thing starting at Ipswich.
IE is doing a lot of fiddling giving everybody a go to in these friendly games.
We could also be holding a lot back, even with the fiddling. Pending the signing of a star player!
Not a big fan of friendlies. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, all about getting fit plus if a bad day rather it be now than in 2 weeks. Who remembers pre season results anyway. I can only remember trips like Falkirk a few years ago. That was a good Saturday, stay over in Glasgow. Last summer FC United and barrow. 2 new grounds. Nothing has inspired me this summer. Save the money for games that matter.
Bid accepted for Eoin toal.
Provided he passes the medical and makes his mark. We'll have a very short shopping list left to complete a full house.

Eoin Toal deal agreed. good news but I would be looking for another defender if I was Evatt.
Did I mention I know a nice right wing back!

I hope he's not going to do a lot of fiddling against Huddersfield. We need the main first-team players that are going to start the season proper. No messing about so close to the season starting.
I also doubt that there will be any more signings after the Northern Ireland lad. If we are going to sign anyone else it will be just before the transfer window closes and other clubs players become surplus to requirements as they sign new players and get shut of the ones that don't feature in their plans.

We could do with another defensive midfield player. According to the reading, our defence wasn't great yesterday and Santos made mistakes.
Let's hope that the team just got complacent after the good win down south and Evatt knocks that out of them quickly.
It's a worry Santos form. He was injured at the end of the season and he's a big unit so maybe struggling to get back to full fitness. He is key to making a back 4 work. I've not seen anything pre season and will miss next Saturday as on a work bonding day out thingy.
That bloke who did film reviews said
"It'll be alright on the night"
Players will be alright when we start playing the real thing.
Or even a back 3. Muddled today.
A hard week on the training ground is the order of the day. Evatt will not let them get away with anything after Saturday's reverse.
The sooner Eoin Toal gets in harness the better. We need that cover in central defence. Let's hope he is a good signing for us and hits the ground running.
Here's something to brighten up your day. A compendium of goals from our star man Dapo.

Since the UK TV and papers are full of an expected killer heatwave. I thought it best to pass on some tips from the hotter parts of the world.
Ice Cream - A alexia and cure for most things including killer heatwaves. There is a world sprinkles and flake shortage, go with the healthy option of locally sourced crispy nuts as a topping. Sugary fruity sauce toppings must be avoided at all costs.
Siesta - Take as required for as long as you like, morning, noon, afternoon or evening is ok.
Bedtime - Drink plenty of water during the evening before bedtime. Set hot summer night time air-con cooling at a temp between 27c - 29c with the fan on auto for a comfortable cheap night's sleep.
Financial Savings - Fit solar water heaters and a photovoltaic power system.

We have Airconditioning in all rooms except bathrooms and the kitchen I was reading an article regarding the cheapest way to stay cool. A fan cost 1 to 2 pence an hour to run whereas Airconditioning costs 25-30 pence per hour.
We have solar water heating but no photovoltaic solar panels for power. If I was a young man, I would have them fitted but I'm a little too long in the tooth to be starting with that now.
Make sure your air conditioning units are the latest tech incl efficient inverters and the best star rating.
Providing you set them correctly. You should then be paying about 10p p/hr.
The above is without a photovoltaic system.
No doubt the World Cup pundits will throw up some interesting stats around aircon use and costs.
Sadly, nothing has been said yet about being caught outdoors and the sprinting speeds required when the heavens open!

it still doesn't beat the cost of a fan. Unfortunately, we don't have any fans only A/C units. I could have new ones fitted as my son is the technical manager for an A/C, Air replenishment, and Refrigeration company.
However, I won't be having it done.
You should get the special family freebie rate, we all remember all the work you did for your son, forcing you to be late or miss live match threads.
Sack your son and spend his inheritance.
Stop the world I want to get off.
What's wrong with the world, when a footballer and his family can't go out for an evening together.

So much wrong with the world. Just ridiculous. Hope everyone is fine and the neanderthals get locked up. Some snippets about toal. He has an ankle injury so let's see if he passes his medical. Morecambe away next year changed to 12.30, no surprise there, less time for some to get tanked up and Sheffield Wednesday away changed to Friday night which is also st pat's Day. Did anyone say it's been a bit warm today?
