Won't we be waiting for some of our top targets until after the World Cup and signing them in January.
It makes sense as it gives us a chance to make some money during the first half of the season.

So we have missed out on Tucker but Liverpool's Conor Bradley is set to sign on a one-year's loan deal and possibly link up with the squad in Portugal.

I would prefer permanent signings. Trafford and Bradley if he comes no chance of making them permanent moves so still be in this position next summer. Suppose economically makes sense as no commitment to a long term contract and more of the budget for other positions.

I don't mind the try before you buy loans. Especially for players who don't have a couple of playing regular injury free seasons under their belt.
We are will aware a player is only one injury away from having a recovery wing named after them.
Best we play safe and try to reduce as much financial risk as possible. Which will leave us more to spend in the long term.

Will be no return on Bradley as Liverpool won't be letting him go permanently. Try before you buy worked with Amaechi. Good player in there but not for the rough and tumble of league one. Bit us in the bottom with Fossey though.

Pre season and some duty free shopping is fast approaching for the 1st team.
The window so far has been a bit of a conspiracy hasn't it. Ever since I posted asking for best guesses on the number of 1st teamers we would sign over the first weekend of the window.
The email instructions to the B team on how to pack grab bags was a bit of a clue wasn't it.

I don't mind taking loan players if they can help us gain promotion. Bradley isn't going to stay but if we are promoted and there is more money available to spend next season, that will be a good outcome.

As far as Trafford is concerned there could be a slight possibility of signing him. He only has one year left on his contract so don't write it off yet.

Looks like Fossey is signing for Rotherham.

That's crazy if true. Relegation favourites Rotherham
Who's Marlon's agent, I'll wager its Lee Superagent Anderson.

It's Premium from Portugal
The BEN needs to cover the costs of the fat boy breakfasts and Wi-Fi roaming charges.
Tomorrow you'll be able to read all about the biscuits, and brew kit in his room.

Here's to hoping the club have saved a signing scoop, releasing it ensuring the bald one misses it while he's in the bar.

According to the BN, Bradley's signing has been rubber-stamped. hopefully, that will happen today with an announcement to follow.

That should have read HASN'T.

Are we having a new kit ? New matchday tunes as well please.
Can we also lose little squeeky kid from iFollow broadcasts.

Nothing useful in the 2 articles in the Beano this morning. Just dreary diary.

Well we've officially said thanks very much to Home Bargains so I'm expecting our next thing to be trumpeted is the new sponsor.

No doubt the photo opportunity would be already done before everyone went to Portugal.

10am Friday would be a good time, an hour after the fixtures are out announce a sponsor and release a new kit.
That should boost the coffers and give season tickets a nudge. Chuck in a new matchday music compilation CD and we'll be all set minus the odd players or two.

Our first set of fixtures are out. The draw for the Pizza Cup gets us in a group with Crewe and Tranmere.

Probably someone's U21 squad to be added further down the line for some glamour no doubt.

Oups did I time travel
Fixtures are Thursday 9am ain't they.
It is a leap year on Orc

Proper fixtures are Thursday. Little trophy draws often come before - for a laugh presumably.

Think we'll have the League Cup 1st round draw before the league fixtures as well. Sure that's happened in seasons past.

Called it.

Service My Car is new sponsor. Happy little fella the car logo thing as well.

posted on 20/6/22

That'll do nicely.
I hope the folk who designed all the little icons for them have a say in the shirt logo.
There could be a really nice shirt heading this way.

Service my car with a one-year deal. Does that mean that we will be looking for a higher profile sponsor next year?

At the moment we just need whatever money we can get but surely if we get promoted at the end of the season, we will be looking for a better payday.

It's good to have a local sponsor but it was different with ReeBok as they were a truly international company.

Changing the kits every year is the issue for me. 3 new kits not cheap.

posted on 21/6/22

It can be renewed. We best hope it works out for all sides, we get promoted, they think its worth renewing at a higher price.
