Why do intelligent fans hold a fake narrative that Pep has unlimited funds?
If City has unlimited funds, then why are Newcastle constrained from spending more seeing that their owners are wealthier?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is true, he’s only had something like £800m to spend.

Are you a Communist by any chance?
Do you think Spurs are happy because Liverpool are able to flex their financial muscle to snatch Diaz from their grasp?
Individuals and organisations will always operate on diferent budgets. Some more, others less.
Stop this jealousy because one team spends more than you. Yet you're quick to defend your team when challenged by fans of other less well off clubs.
Hypocrisy of the highest order.

They haven't mastered the art of fabricating hundreds of millions of pounds worth of sponsorship deals out of thin air to circumvent FFP like City have. Newcastle may be richer but City are smarter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Signing any deal means City is earning their money. Something many of you like to spew about. A company is willing to pay it and it's signed off as market value by the PL & UEFA.
Regardless, whether the deals are dodgy or not, City's expenditure is limited to their annual revenue (similar to Liverpool's in recent years).. And we have more revenue from player sales and prize money than most clubs in the past five years.
If any of you have any proof of City spending outside of their earnings, then the PL 8 would be willing to pay handsomely to get their hands on such evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would it make you happy if we stopped saying City are cheats?

Ah right we’re all jealous because City bought their success. Much happier to see my club go about it the right way thanks. Nothing to be jealous of.

Pep: Spent £800m + to not win the CL
Klopp: Spent half that and may have won 2 in a couple of weeks.

Then there’s this;

“ Yet you're quick to defend your team when challenged by fans of other less well off clubs.
Hypocrisy of the highest order.”

Am I? Nice of you to decide that for me. Can’t say I’ve ever defended the spending of my club, never had need to.

Only City buys success. Liverpool do things the right way (whatever that means). Another meaningless cliche thrown about by clueless fans and bought by the gullible.
Out of interest, how many of your regular starters this season came through your academy?

You seem to be under the impression I’ve claimed Liverpool don’t spend money, despite pointing out how much we’ve spent under Klopp. You’re good at putting words I haven’t said into my mouth.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every club spend to achieve success. Some spend more, others less.
It's the name of the game.
Leicester spent less to win the PL and FA cup compared to Liverpool for example.
United spent more than City to win nothing in recent years.
But to stand any chance of winning, you have to spend and spend big.
I'm happy City is spending big to compete and win stuff.

City would be the first out the door into a Super league instead of the CL as a FU to UEFA

They got a pass did they? The anger towards them didn’t force John Henry into publicly apologising or anything

I think most fans believe that there is a difference between clubs spending self generated money and clubs winning the oil lottery. Without the oil money you'd still be a mid-table team at best.

As a United fan, I have not love for Liverpool, but whatever success they have they fully deserve. I'd actually rather see City win trophies, as your success is easier to shrug off.

Your owners came from a country where millions of their fellow citizens are treated worse compared to UAE. No healthcare for millions, no paid maternity leave, no job security etc. Yet you're focusing on human rights of Abu Dhabi.

I hear fans say this a lot but history tells a different story.
For example, Liverpool were a second division team before Littlewoods money came in. Without that money, Everton would have remained the dominant team in Merseyside.
Also, Liverpool were almost bankrupt thanks to Hicks and Gillet. The money spent by FSG to bail the club out was not "earned" but invested by the owners.
Yet we gloss over these evidence and trot out the line that they do things the right way - a media narrative which just confirms what Pep said the other day about media bias.
City had initial investments after the takeover and without which we wouldn't compete. We didn't earn that but since 2014, the club has been self sustaining. This is to the disappointment of many fans who then resort to name calling using tired cliches like "bottomless pit of money" or "dodgy sponsorship" etc.

City are a big club now and no amount of jealousy will stop us.

Anything to back this up?

How much more than our competitors did Littlewoods spend? How many transfer records did we break along the way?

Let’s see some actual facts to back this up.
