Finals? Dunno, never really heard this 'narrative' youre suggesting. But if it does exist it's probably because Salah has won a few and Kane hasn't won any
We win most finals we play in, simple as that really.
Both have essentially failed to turn up in finals in their career. Hard to argue with that.

Henry and Shearer were the same. 4 of the best PL scorers not producing in finals. Can't recall Aguero clutch cup final moments either.

I think most players underperform in finals.
The occasion, the quality of the opposition, the cautious tactics that most teams inevitably employ… all play a part.
The very best of course win games like this for their team but I’m referring to probably a handful of footballers ever with that comment.

Fair point. CR7 is one of the best big game players ever and you could argue he only showed up in 1 of 4 CL finals for Madrid.

Position isn't relevant. Their performances (as their teams' talismans and biggest attacking threats) are what is being compared.

Tbf, Henry would perform very well in finals, just couldn't quite get the goals. If we're ignoring the disgrace that was the 2002 fa cup final v Liverpool. Still haven't gotten over that robbery.
