You hear a lot, even from Spurs fans, how Kane is part of why Spurs don't win trophies, because he doesn't turn up in these games, yet Salah is just as bad for it, but because Liverpool still win stuff this criticism is not put to him as much.

It really shows you the difference being in a good team and being around better players makes, which in a way makes it look worse for Salah because he is surrounded by better quality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's because in finals the opponent wants to win a trophy too! Although most top teams don't change to account for opponents, Salah and Kane are definitely two players a team will make an effort to neutralise, as they are both so prolific and key to their teams performances.

I'm not even surprised they don't score much in finals as giving them time and space on the ball is a sure way to lose a final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get that many players struggle in finals but when you've had 8 big ones and not even scored a goal from open play in any, and you're supposed to be one of the best players/goal scorers around then it's not great is it?

We win most finals we play in, simple as that really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Under Klopp you’ve won 4 finals (2 on pens) and lost 3 (1 on pens) so that’s not true is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we've won most of our finals?

Are you thick?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t consider 4 out of 7 most finals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If I were you, I'd definitely explore this a little further.
You might be on to a Nobel Prize here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer me this. Is 57% of people most people?

It really shows you the difference being in a good team and being around better players makes, which in a way makes it look worse for Salah because he is surrounded by better quality.
======
Being surrounded by better quality makes it better not worse.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It makes it look worse for Salah considering he's surrounded by better quality and still not turning up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe opponents concentrate on stopping the danger man in finals as a priority? Kane and Salah are both the best players in their teams so that'd make much more sense than the notion that Kane and Salah, who score goals and assist for fun, get stage fright in finals.

They both have way too much confidence to freeze on the biggest stages imo l. Teams just ain't dumb. They know let them two free and ur prob lose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Salah simply hasn't been that great for the whole of 2022 though. He's taken that form into those 3 finals for Liverpool. He should have had a better season than he did on an individual level.

Kane could have done more in some of the finals, but has only been in 4 and probably shouldn't have even been in one after being rushed back from injury.

Ibra had a stigma he never scored against English teams....until he destroyed England 😂

If they are both the first names on the coaches teqmsheet after getting to the final, it speaks volumes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would wager Kane has scored more goals against Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal than Salah has (substitute Spurs for Liverpool in his case). All of those matches involving those clubs are considered the biggest in the Prem.

So completely untrue to say Kane does not turn up in big games in general.

No. It makes it better in that he doesn't have to play well for Liverpool to win a final so Salah can afford to not turn up and say "right, I got you this far now you finish the job."
