I just think he was holding out for a better deal. Simple as that. He had the time to do it so he used it and looks like it paid off so fair play.

Every position has its challenges. CB is no different. 100% concentration and good decision making else you are critically exposed. Just the way it is. He's not scheite or anything just not getting an England cap but then fack all playing in Scotland ever do.

Would they rather scrap it out in what would probably be a relegation dog fight all season with the chance of maybe pulling off one or two shock results against the top sides, all for more money

Or have a shot at progression in Europe with the bonuses on offer plus playing against top sides in Europe, with the caveat that you also have your bread and butter games where you’re trying to break down a brick wall against teams that kick the schite out of you and put everything into one or two attacks per game
