i know you have a hardon for Conte... but spurs at the top??

Other than Bissouma they have signed noone who improves their starting 11.... city on the other hand have just signed an absolute beast in Haaland and 45 million on philips

They’ve had a great window. It’s not always about the first eleven. Squad depth is gonna be very important this season and Richarlison will allow Conte to rotate Kane and Son. Spence is a great signing as is Lenglet.

Phillips doesn't improve City's starting 11 either.

I would say Spurs, just about

Haalan , no matter what you say, is still unproven in PL. Take the example of Timo Werner. He looked world class and scored for fun before coming to PL. Chelsea fans were in ruptures on getting his signature, and yet now after a few months in PL, he is a shadow of the player he was.
Bissouma has proven pedigree in PL, and along his side Brighton, show cased some superb play and won or drawn games that were seen as above them against the top sides.

Add to this, the signing of Richarlison who will rattle defenses with his s*housery and cause mayhem, and is also proven in this league.
I believe the pair add depth and improve the Spurs side more than Haaland improving City. That's hard to do too as City was a top side anyway.
Don't think Philips will add much to their quality.

Pep just took Philips on to deny another side his services, just like Grealish.

They’re on the verge of signing Sterling who imo will be a better signing for them than De Jong will be for us

Selling Lukaku

Chelsea lost a 100m player for free
United only lost an 80m player for free.

Chelsea lost their best defender.
United haven't.

United got rid of a load of deadwood.
Chelsea never.

Chelsea are bottom clearly.

Agree in the main but losing Pogba, for all his faults, is worse for us than Chelsea losing Lukaku, regardless of fees. And shifting deadwood is great but, as it stands (and it’s obviously not the end of summer yet), our squad looks short on depth as well as quality. Not much in it between Chelsea and United.

id have utd above arsenal and chelsea.

while chelsea may have shipped out lukaku we have got rid of pogba, cavani, mata and lingard... according to reports looking to save 58 million euros in wages this year

Saving money in wages doesn’t exactly improve the side though. Arsenal have actually brought in Jesus and a decent midfielder in Viera

City and Spurs certainly splashed the cash so far. Around £130m each.

Losing Rudiger impacts their team more than losing Pogba impacts yours imo because they could guarantee performances, Pogba was an enigma with the heart of a mouse so often he was an empty jersey.

Arsenal's window is pretty poor at least until they get Jesus but even then relying on him to be your no 9 is a big gamble so not sure that's as good a signing as their fans are making it out to be. Vieira is an unknown quantity to most fans here.

Jesus has been pictured wearing an Arsenal shirt at the Emirates so it’s pretty much official. This league table is just for now. We could (hopefully) move up the table once get some players to Carrington

I would argue Arsenal should be above Liverpool.

Liverpool have lost a world class Mane and replaced him with very expensive potential.

all players signing for new clubs are potential regardless of what they have done elsewhere
